I have the earlier model and I cannot tell the difference but both are equally nice. Big surface to lay my phone on and charges efficiently. Used usb-c connector so I can use my other cords. Not watch and functionality as it just charges. But it does charge my Android and my iPhones. It's really thin but well made. So I think for travel it would be easy to put in the bag. The W1 is sleek, stylish and flat. And, an amazing value. It will charge phones – even with a protective cover – and earbuds that allow for that (most Tozo earbuds do.) It is truly plug-and-play. (Perhaps I should say plug-practice-play. Practice because you do have to place the item you are charging “just so”. But, the W1 makes it easy to know you have succeeded by changing the color band on the edge. While the W1 does not include a charging cord or plug, the USB-C is standard and commonly available with devices you already own. (If you didn’t, you would not need this anyway.) I have used everything from a 5 to a 65 Volt power source without the device overheating. This is an advantage over some earlier technology for wireless charging. ... show more

While I do like the ability to wirelessly charge my phone, I definitely wouldn't call this a fast charger. It does note in the documentation that you'd need a specific fast-charge block and/or cord to actually have that feature, so the product name feels a little misleading. I have several varying format chargers and this form factor is one of my favorites. It's large: much wider than the phone, and easy to place the phone for immediate connection. The light symbology works well to alert a successful connection. The unit is light weight....but wide and thin so it sits securely (I'd be concerned about the light weight if this was smaller and would be susceptible to being kicked around).
