Excuse the dirty toy, I threw it away and remembered to come back and take pics. So this toy seemed to be a durable, great toy. Honestly it still could be for other animals. My little monster is a chewer. It took him a long time to get it to this point, but I never paid much attention to the issue until it was in my way an had to pick it up. My puppy ended up at the vet with a cut on his right pad on his paw. Could not figure out how it go there. when we returned from the vet and he was in his crate, I picked up his toys to put them away and grab the end of this one. the ends become very, very sharp as he chewed on it. Enough that I broke the skin on my hand picking it up. The vet mentioned when I showed him the toy is that as he tried to hold it with his paws to chew on it the end cut in to the pad of paw.
