15 lbs is a great weight. The blanket is soft and fuzzy, and helps me sleep much more soundly and fall asleep faster. Prior to the blanket I was literally piling pillows on myself for the added weight, lol. Holds up just fine in the wash!

I have purchased many weighted blankets so I know what to look for now. This is a great quality blanket as the beads are grouped in individual little squares so all the beads don’t shift to one side. The fur on one side and Sherpa on other are so soft. In bought white for a gift and looks pretty. I did open from plastic and repackage to make presentable for a college grad gift. This was a Christmas gift for my Husband and he LOVES this blanket! I grabbed it during a nap and fell asleep hard for an hour- You do have to wash it before using to get rid of the initial shedding, but its really easy to wash.
