I like this vest a lot. I started looking for a weighted vest after twice hearing a female TV doctor recommend that women could help prevent osteoporosis by wearing a 5-7 lb weight vest when doing daily, routine tasks around the house or outside walking. Sure, I can't tell you yet whether the weight bearing is increasing my bone density, but I can report that the vest is comfortable and does not feel too heavy. Perhaps a very busty woman would not do well with this vest, but otherwise, I think it it a very good value. ... show more

the quality of this vest was ok, but it smelled so much i put it in the garage for two days and the garage smelled too. i was disappointed. if they could eliminate whatever product causes the odor, it would be ok. i returned it.

I researched quite a few weighted vests, for their ability to add effort to simple body movements for exercise. I am not interested in heavy weighted vests, as I want more muscle exertion rather than joint compression. This vest fits the bill. it is very comfortable and takes simple daily activities and makes them more exertional. I read the reviews that stated the material in the vest shifts and repositions after using it awhile. I do not have this problem. Every time I take the vest off, I simply hold it upside down by the 'waist' of the vest and do bicep curls as well as shake it. The weighted material has not re-distsributed at all. Vest fits well. No sliding or shifting during exercises. Played Wii golf and bowling with vest on and the fit is so slim that the vest never interfered. The weight of 8lbs is just enough weight to add resistance. One complaint- the triangle in the front has too much sand in it which makes it extremely uncomfortable on my chest bone (photo has white circle on the area). So I turned it around and the back has an open triangle (see photo) which is a game changer. Manufacturers should consider making the vest with the open triangle on the front side as well. ... show more
