My chiropractor recommended this unit to me and it's turned out to be well-worth the cost--which when you think about it, is pretty reasonable. I often wake up with one or both hips hurting from chronic sciatica. When I can't walk the ache out in 5 minutes, I turn on this unit, use it the way my chropractor recommended, and in 5 minutes or less, my hips feel fine. I also reccently developed acute shoulder tendonitis. My chiropractor worked on it for half an hour and brought the pain down to a 1 or 2 out of 10. I used this unit twice a day for 2 days and the tendonitis was pretty much cured. No more pain at all. The unit appears to be very well made; very sturdy, and easy to use. It's not too heavy for this 78 year old woman whose muscles aren't as strong as they used to be. I highly recommend this unit for anyone for whatever muscle ache bothers you. There are 9 or 10 different heads for the unit, each one designed for a specific part of your body. Once again, excellent product. Oh--I gave it 5 stars for battery life, but I actually don't know how long the battery lasts as I've been using it for about two weeks only. I run year round. Sometimes I have difficulty getting upper and lower body muscles to relax especially my iliotibial band. My brother let me use his Theragun a couple years ago. I really liked it but didn't want to spend the high price to get my own. I continue to use my trusty trigger point foam roller and massage stick. Recently I started having IT band and tight hip issues. Rolling out these areas got me thinking again about a percussion massage gun. I started researching massage guns. I made comparisons to the Theragun since this is what I've known. I found some positive changes. The various attachments have increased. Most importantly for me is the decibel level has gotten better. That was one thing I didn't like about the Theragun. It was very loud. I analyzed percussion guns on several attributes. I ended up with the Toloco for the following reasons: 1- Noise level 2- Amplitude 3- Battery Life 4- Weight 5- Price 6- Heat dissipation 7 - Good carry case I've used the Toloco for less than a week. I've been on a couple decent runs and had three different workouts. I've use the gun for both pre and post run and workout muscle therapy. I get better results from the massage gun than my foam roller and muscle stick. It's easier to massage the inner thigh and iliotibial band region with the gun. The noise level is better than expected. I can run the gun during a movie and not bother my wife. The amplitude listed at 12 mm for me has been fine. It is a bit less than the Theragun at 16 mm. The penetration has been sufficient for my needs. The battery life isn't bad. It does seem to run down more quickly than anticipated. The time to recharge isn't long. The weight of the gun is fantastic. I've felt no fatigue while running the massage gun. My wife has used it on me as well. She's not mentioned the weight. Heat dissipation is fine. I do notice most heat generated is right around the neck of the gun where the attachments insert. It gets hot to the tough. It doesn't seem to be an issues. The carry case is better than expected. There is room for everything as well as an extra battery if you want one. Although the compartment where they 'Y' attachment sits is a bit small. I'm guessing it's size must have increased for some reason. Overall for the money this is a great massage gun. I'm very happy with it. I'm giving it four stars for two reasons: 1- Battery life. I think an upgrade from the Li-ion battery to a Ni–MH could help and improve the gun overall. 2- The gun shuts down after about 10 minutes of consistent use. You can immediately turn it back on. I'm not sure why this timeout exists. Could it be a safety feature? Admittedly I've only experienced a shutdown once. Since the machine can run longer it would be nice to allow it run whatever duration I want. ... show more

So far so good. Have never used one of the more expensive ones to compare but this one seems to do the trick. Didn’t have great expectations when I purchased so was surprised by the quality for the price. Have had it a few months and use it maybe twice a month. I run ultra races and I’m active in the gym so I get the occasional soreness and tight muscles. If nothing else it’s been good to have this around to use after a race when recovering on the couch. I’m not a fan of professional massages so can’t say which is better. It does seem to make achy muscles feel better while in use but can’t speak to any long term benefits, injury prevention or helping to heal an injury. Will continue to use to see how long it last. It’s quiet but powerful. I can’t go higher than level 2 on most muscles and can’t see why anyone would. Buttons are easy to use and the handle is comfortable and easy to hold even for a small female with small hands. Lots of attachments to choose from and comes with a it’s own case. No complaints. Probably a good intro gun for the price to see if you like it and it helps and then move to something more expensive if it ends up crapping out at some point. ... show more
