I bought several of these hoping they would be a great power solution for my Canon R5 C, but none of them actually fit the QR sled that comes with the gimbal. I tried adjusting the tension on this pass through plate, but when I did that the sled locked into place and couldn't be easily adjusted so balancing the gimbal becomes a pain. Started smoking after first use. Unplugged the dtap and smoke started pouring out of 14v port. Appears the battery contact was poorly soldered down.

    • Good accessory, but needs improvement
This pass-through plate from Tilta is a nice accessory to have when you need it. But it does need some developments. One of the setbacks is that you're limited to the size of the v-mount battery you can put on the plate due to its proximity to the pan and roll motors of the RS2 gimbal. I wasn't able to fit mine easily, so now I need to find a mini v-mount. Another setback is the lack of an ability to use DJI's Raveneye wireless transmission. So if you can't see your camera's playback screen while using this plate, you're going to have a hard time using a camera on a gimbal at all (if your camera even has a usable playback screen, or even one at all). So all in all, this accessory is tricky- a benefit if you can live with the limitations, but a complication otherwise. ... show more

Works great for me! Powers my Komodo and other devices onto the RS2. Pretty ingenious little adapter.
