even though i haven't got this yet i know it's going to be a great game so i'm writing my review now. i can't get out on the real golf courses very much and i already have pga tours 7,8,9 and 12 so i thought i'd go backwards and try playing it with a Gamecube controller. i know putting and swinging will be tough but i know i'll get the hang of it very quickly. this will also be my 32nd gamecube game too. i'm so glad i purchased this version of it as it's the only one i don't have currently. it will be just like the psp version of it as you have to tilt the Gamecube analog stick down and then up to swing the club. i know the Gamecube has been out of commision for 8 years now but hey. as long as they're still selling i'll buy them. i'm going to love playing this version of it and is must have for any Gamecube owner who loves to play golf. but you should also looking into getting Mario Golf Toadstool tour if your into Mario. my Gamecube is almost non functional anymore as it won't read discs properly but hey, that's what i have my Wii for. so i'll wrap it up here with some golf lingo. I've had Tiger Woods PGA Tour 04 since it was new and decided to try a newer version for the Gamecube. This version is so different that I don't feel like it even belongs in the same series. The main single player mode has you "travel through time" and play golfers from previous eras, but like the '04 version, most of these players are fictional (they may all be fictional in '06, I can't remember since it's been a few months since I last played it). Unlike the '04 version, PGA Tour '06 feels "cartoony." The whole art style is much less realistic. This game has gotten so much better over the years. There is a new battle mode where you try to beat the best ever with your created character. But you had better have a lot of time on your hands. The graphics are great, and they have added a lot of detail to the courses. There are over 12 to choose from and more to unlock. The only things that I disagree with is that whenever you hit a ball in the sand- it stays there. In real life if may bounce out easily- here it just sticks- even if it is on a drive. The second is trees. The graphics for trees are not the best and when you hit a ball in the tree it drops straight down. In real life there can be a chance it may pop out. One final thing is that you skip can't skip through other player's emotions or words in battle mode- and they can get pretty annoying.
