Bought this for my Thomas obsessed 4yr old and it holds up okay. I wish the tracks would click and stick together way better but they are plastic and the arches and turns aren’t many to choose from so there’s that. Overall okay could be better.

We have two existing Thomas & Friends sets, and I have already tried combining them to make them more interesting. However, I've been very limited by the lack of straight track and the fact that we have only one switch between the two sets: any branch off this switch is a branch to a dead-end which is not a lot of fun. This track extension kit provides three additional switches, lots of straight track, a raised platform, and more curve pieces than you'll probably ever need. The quality and design is the same as the original sets, so everything is compatible. The accompanying photo show how I was able to add a working branch to our existing sets by adding just one orange switch and three turquoise straight tracks. I didn't even need to use the turquoise curves; I had curves left over from the original sets. And the bucket is still full of more pieces and two more switches and the pl;atform. We can move this to the floor and expand it to fill up the whole room. ... show more
