I ordered the Thetford Porta Potti 550P MSD Portable Toilet (92856)which was distributed through Atlantic Boat Supply. I was not able to keep the product due to it not matching part of the description "rotating pour-out spout", which made the toilet completely unusable for camping. I was told by Atlantic Boat Supply that I actually needed to order number 92853 if I wanted the pour spout. Due to the description not matching the product I asked Atlantic Boat Supply for a return with complete refund. Both Atlantic Boat Supply and Amazon were extremely responsive and I was able to get my full refund. I decided against trying to re-order as I wanted to see if I can find it in a store so I can actually see the item to be sure it has the part I need. While I didn't end up with the product I wanted, Amazon and Atlantic Boat Supply made the return of the product completely painless and with no frustration. ... show more

I was told just get a thetford with MSD and be done with it . Great product installs with ease . I installed this product in my searay fits perfect . the hold down attachment is included i dont know how I missed that , Thetford has excellent customer service , called for help one call did it all .

    • So far so good. It is replacing a smaller Thetford Porta Potti ...
The 550P MSD is well made and functions well. I am a little concerned about the robustness of the hold-down mechanism as it is kind of light weight. Time will tell. So far so good. It is replacing a smaller Thetford Porta Potti that we were very happy with, so I am optimistic. The instructions are not as clear as they could be ahead of time, but are fine in hindsight. Irony. I loved it. also flash water for clean. That is good idea. It is durable I wash under the shower. It is good size. I feel great to have this toilet. I have two boys in school season, I just use in my bedroom.

Received pottie quickly, but wrong part was in package. It works, but not as described and is not going to be nearly as convenient. Can't send it back. Too much trouble and we need it right away.
