So it's been over a year of use and it is fantastic, very easy to use. No smell, easy to clean. Easy to dump, no more black tank dumping. Very nice quality , the only thing I have had to do was a little grease on the metal sliders for the waste door to make it slide much easier. I use the coco coir bricks, when you dump it the tub looks clean, very little residue left inside. I can't say anything bad about this at all, other than I wish I had one 10 years ago. ... show more

I replaced my camper toilet with this composting toilet and am extremely pleased with the choice. Almost no maintenance other than emptying the bucket and urine tank, which they have made pretty easy as well. Now, if only the bricks of coconut coir were easier to break apart. Came with a vent tube but I thought I would try without it first because I hate putting holes in the camper. Glad I waited. No vent tube was needed. It takes a very small DC power cord which was easy to patch in on another DC circuit. Only thing I would change is that I didn't remove the toilet flange in case I didn't like it and wanted to revert back. The OGO toilet has a solid bottom, so I had to build up a platform around the toilet flange. It sits just a little too high because I chose this during installation (not OGO's fault). Doing it over, I would remove the toilet flange so I don't have the added height on the toilet. This is very sturdy and much better than a standard RV toilet. I wish they would make some RV's and campers with factory installed composting toilets. Between this toilet and switching out the rooftop air conditioner to a mini split heat pump (efficient air and heat) has made my camper much better for me and more flexible. ... show more

I like the sturdy container for urine. It would be helpful it there was a secure storage place for the cap inside the OGO near where you remove it. The front compartment doesn't fit snug and the clasps are flimsy. I'm going to use it for a 2 week camping trip in my van. I found that my cord from my rechargeable shark vacuum works if you don't want to hard wire to the 12 volt. ... show more

We live aboard our 38’ Freedom Sailboat in Florida every winter. Our boat was built with a very small black water tank that was inadequate for living aboard. We knew we needed to make a change & had heard great things about composting toilets. After careful research we decided to purchase the OGO toilet. It was easy to install and has been very easy to use. The OGO is well designed, well built and the company’s customer service is highly responsive, friendly & effective.     • Expensive but worth it.
I full time in my class c rv. I am never going back to an Rv black tank. I dump a couple gallons of pee in the woods once a week and throw a small trash bag of dirt in a dumpster once a month. And my Rv smells great. I have to contact the company because the pee level light didn’t work when I got it, but I’m still giving this toilet 5 stars anyway because it’s THAT good. ... show more

Width dimensions were wrong on the Amazon listing (looks corrected now) and it did not fit in our camper. Looks like a great design. OGO had excellent customer service and helped return some other items we bought directly from them for the toilet.

    • Love this thing.
I have a large woodshop as a side biz but don't have toilet facilities in the shop. So, I decided to try this product. Very easy to assemble, simple instructions, light weight unit. Had to do some googling to figure out what medium to use and how much to use but once I did that, it was a breeze. I do not have this vented to the outside and there is still no change in smell of my shop (still smells like a woodshop and not a latrine). Cleans easily. I have no reservations about getting one of these units for my hunting camp but just venting it outside. Fan can't be heard and draws almost no power. I'll update over time but so far this has been great. ... show more
