  • Simple to use, easy connect AC power, no smell
Bought this to replace a compost toilet that came with our pre-owned tiny house. It is our small vacation home in the mountain so granted it is expensive for its frequency of usage but it is really worth it to us mainly due to the convenience and effectiveness of smell control. We left it not used for 6 month over the past winter season due to living abroad and still no issue with the smell. Note using the Pee Powder , ie gel up the liquid wastes really help with less number of flush. I also use a blend of baking soda and diatomaceous earth as “poo powder” to help reduce smell and dry out the poo. It all work out well. ... show more

  • So Easy!
I've owned many composting/urine diverting toilets and this one is by far the easiest to use and maintain. Yes, it could get a bit pricey as an only every day toilet, but for occasional/ camping use it is the best. Well worth the price.

  • Works! Expensive refills!
Update: I got it to work without having to manually rotate the bag! Using this involved a small learning curve, though. At first I used it every time I needed to go, but I soon realized that I'd run out of space long before the bag ran out of flushes. The best way to use this, for me, is as a night toilet so I don't have to go outside in the dark. Otherwise, I go in nature or use restrooms when I'm in town. That ensures that the bag doesn't need to be replaced before it's done, which is important because where this company actually makes its money is those $*&%ing refills. I imagine they're patented, so there won't be off-brand versions at a reasonable price for many years. I'm going to work on a DIY version so it doesn't cost me nearly $2 every time I flush because that's absolutely ridiculous. Once I figure that out, this toilet will be perfect! Original: I have to manually rotate the bag insert to twist it, otherwise the bag puffs up and then just goes back down without covering anything. As long as I twist the liner a full 360°, the waste gets covered properly and no smell. Some folks complain that the flush button is too sensitive, and it is very sensitive, so maybe the fact that I have to manually rotate the bag will save me some accidental flushes? I'm okay with having to move it around by hand - it's still better than a stinky chemical toilet! ... show more

  • No Smell….
Had 13 poops in our toilet in a cabin with no air conditioning that reached 90° consecutively for a week the second week it sat in the 80° range with no air conditioning when I arrived after 18 days of leaving the waist in the product there was absolutely no smell at all and the small 200 square-foot cabin Phenomenal product. Highly recommend purchased a second one just recently. ... show more

  • Multiple Uses - Home, Elderly, Camping, Boats...
First, I would like to describe my consumer style – if I am in need of an item, I am not buying it unless I see clear evidence that it has multiple uses - current and future. I am a really hard sell on ANYTHING that I do not believe in and clearly this is my opinion but, the Laveo Dry-Flush is an amazing product that not only provides use for me now but in the future. I purchased my new home and as we all know, if you are not buying new construction, you are most likely going to have some renovations. Well, I bought a beautifully sound home but with ancient bathrooms, yes both bathrooms. I needed for obvious reasons a toilet for workers as well as myself and that’s where the Laveo Dry Flush came into play. It is wonderful! I simply took it out of the box, watched a variety of tutorials on their website and it was done. I am a single woman so I did not want an item that required a lot of lifting or hassle. This item is so convenient and remember as I said above, I always buy (or try to) an item that has other uses? Well, after the construction is complete, this same toilet will remain in my family for use if my elderly parents need it in their bedroom, for future camping trips with my great-niece and nephew and if the future holds a boat for me, whoa, it would be amazing on it! A true quality made product that has many uses – a win-win if you ask me! ... show more

  • This is my second purchase
I originally bought one of these toilets four years ago for my RV and now that I have an off grid property and Airbnb I bought another to go there. These are very convenient to use. The only downfall is the shipping takes forever to get the refill packs, but other than that I can’t complain. It’s very easy there’s no odor when done properly you don’t have to deal with the compost mess, the toilet light weight enough for me to move myself to clean behind in around it. I’m very happy with my purchases, both of them. ... show more

  • Works great!
Definitely keeps smell away once you flush. Easy to use. I love everything about it, except for the price of the refills. If you live in an RV or van full time, it can get expensive.

  • Refills very expensive
Not good for people with bladder issues. Can't possibly flush everything you urinate. I didn't and when finally flushed all refills..it was so heavy I could just barely lift to dump. Also I had a little trouble with smell. Tried to spray toilet every time I flushed. Would not recommend but just me!!
