  • Great unit, odd control knob
Style: 2.5 Gallons
Hot water without the wait. Not only does it mean less waste waiting for the hot water getting to the sink from a primary water heater, but also makes doing quick tasks which require a little bit of hot water super easy. The temperature dial is a bit weird so have attached my interpretation for use as an undersink heater in a bathroom or kitchen. Bought two. Installation is easy. I used a 1/2 inch NPT (national pipe thread) flexible faucet connector much like the one which was installed under the sink except longer because of where I could fit the unit. I've been running them for a couple months with no trouble. EDIT: a few years later, both units are still working like new. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • buy a different brand!
Style: 2.5 Gallons
This corrected our dishwasher issues with a on demand hot water heater. Dishwasher actually works now instead of leaving slimy food and detergent all over our dishes. Install kinda sucked tho. The company needs to have a better solution to mounting the relief valve drain into existing plumbing. I looked at tons of options and I ended up just drilling and tapping a brass nipple into the existing drain next to the dishwasher drain. Sealed up w silicone to prevent leakage and it should be just fine for this purpose. Good upgrade for sure. Update: October 21, 2019. The unit has stopped heating water all together. Tried resetting unit at the reset button, disconnecting power, cleaning pressure relief valve, all to no avail. Hopefully I can get a warranties replacement but until I do(tried calling the company and emailing) I am going to lower my rating because it hasn’t lasted even a year lol. Update: December 9th, second unit was received and worked for a month or so. Same problem has occurred and unit has stopped working. Due to the time and mess installing and uninstalling this unit we will not be using it any longer. No refund from company either. Cheaply made, crappy heater. Awesome when it works but not worth it due to the inferior components it uses. I uploaded a picture of the heating element that failed internally twice. ... show more

  • A safer tank, Great size and shape, Quiet and simple to install
Style: 2.5 Gallons
After looking at a number of products that make the buyer do the protection from hot spots in the take (by adding a pressure valve that needs a drain, This product seems to take care and heat more evenly and without creating local steam from a too hot too small a heating element. Turning on for the first time I listened very close for the characteristic hiss or Pop from over aggressive heating elements - NONE Totally quiet! and the Heat time was very reasonable even quick - Temperature control very smooth with plenty of range. Size was great - having it built to SIT on the counter floor rather then requiring hang on the wall a real plus. One hit - The tank list NPT 1/2" fitting. Typical USA this is called a "compression Fit" and is NOT a FIP. And Most sinks and faucet connections are smaller, 3/8" . After a bit of fussing I found a 1/2 to 3/8 compression adapter (home depot etc) that fixed that - but I did have a challenge from the tank needing to be farther then the 30" lines available in hardware store - Found a great 4-foot with 3/8 compression on both ends from Amazon - which fit the bill perfect. only took 15-20 min to install once all the parts were found. ... show more

  • Finally, Warm faucet water in winter!
Style: 2.5 Gallons
After suffering through winter after winter of cold faucet water in our patient bathroom, and after plumber after plumber said there was nothing which could be done other than wrapping pipes with plug-in pipe warmers (which did not work), I conducted my own research and came across stand alone water heaters. I read through reviews of many such products and saw complaints about rusting and product failure. I kept researching until I came across this product and felt confident in purchasing it. My contractor installed it after needing to install a water-resistant outlet in the bathroom and after drilling into the drain pipe and connecting the hoses. Since our patient bathroom sink has to be accessible to wheelchair patients, there is no cabinet underneath the sink. I wish this water heater tank was able to be attached to the wall but the directions say not to attach. So my contractor built a small platform for the tank to rest on so that the tank does not get contaminated when the bathroom floor is mopped. Normally by the time a person is done washing their hands, the faucet water is still ice cold. But now within a few seconds of the faucet turning on, they get warm water to wash their hands for as long as they need to wash them! I am so happy I purchased this product! ... show more

  • Use 2 of these in different ways, excellent results!
Style: 4.0 Gallons
I purchased one of these for my Florida office and it works extremely well to deliver instant hot water for hand washing, etc. I purchased another one as a pre-heater for an addition on home with long lines to the primary hot water tank. This works superbly! Instant hot water for hand washing, instant hot water for shower until the main hot water tank takes over. For the shower, the cold inlet comes from the main heater tank and the outlet feeds the shower and wash basin. Works very well, saves time and water because you needn't let the faucet run and wait for hot water to come from main tank. Love the results! Excellent product and excellent results! ... show more
