Item arrived about a week early and the shipping company was good. Pros: 1. end product looks and performs very well and looks like a nice piece you would see at a high end hotel/restaurant. 2. Easy to use. 3. Puts out good heat Cons: 1. Hardware for assembly is almost embarrassingly cheap. Had to shim one bolt due to it being stripped. 2. Capture nuts (nuts welded into the frame of the unit) had a lot of slag which I had to use a file to remove to even attempt to push a bolt through. 3. Directions are terrible. Bad pictures and orientations are confusing. Overall: nice product. Maybe a bit over priced based on the difficulty to assemble and the shotty hardware. ... show more

Update: 5/9/2021 I’ve had the firepit for 5 years now and still LOVE it. It’s been outdoors this hole time, and holds up well. I’ve just recently purchased the glass to go around the flame. So a whole new experience is still ahead. During the off seasons I’ve been shrink wrapping the top of the table so I can continue to use the surface, but protect the pit from the wet elements. I’m Happy with this investment. Back in 2021: This fire pit looks GREAT!!! on my back patio and functions very well. It was packaged perfect, and not a flaw anywhere. It took all of an hour to put together, grab a beer, sit down, and fire it up. There's only 12 screws, an ignitor, a valve, and a propane hose to connect. All were very obvious where they had to go. I'm looking forward to some coming parties and I'll leave an update. Thank you. ... show more

    • Attractive but over priced given the poor build quality.
This is an attractive item but I am surprised it is rated so highly given the quality issues. One doesn't expect build issues like this at this price level. As is documented elsewhere and was true on both bases we received (we returned the first) the door on the end will not close because it does not fit. Both fire trays did not sit flush because both had a slight arch to them. The ignitor does not work. The purchasing experience is frustrating as well. You are stuck with putting up with issues or shipping the whole thing back. You can not swap out parts or even just one of the two boxes in which it comes; it is all or nothing. ... show more

    • A great firepit that really puts out the heat beautifully
I wanted this firepit for a place on my patio. But then I decided I wanted it under my portal. It's portable so I can have it where I want it. It really puts out the heat and the flame is gorgeous. It actually looks as if the glass is melting as it burns.

I have only been using the product for a day or two (natural gas version) and I love it. The flame is nice and high and evenly spread out. It does create a fair amount of warmth but isn't going to generate heat like an overhead heater. People really love the table and the flame is beautiful. I need to see how easy it is to keep the tabletop clean (I do keep it covered). All in all very happy. I don't live in a very windy area but the flame definitely "leans" to one side or the other depending on even mild wind so I am thinking about buying the separate glass guards. ... show more

I little pricey, but good quality. After doing a lot of research, we decided on this fire chat table since it had the highest BTU rating. I will caution though, fire chat tables are not designed to keep you warm in the winter, they are designed to be neat to look at. That being said, this is probably the warmest one you find and it throws some heat, but not enough to keep you warm in a NE winter. Set up was fairly straight forward. We have similar furniture, so this purchase was a no brainer, and it got great reviews. It shipped timely and was very securely packaged. It comes with a glass top so when not on, it serves as a nice table. But when the flames are going, it is very romantic and puts out a lot of heat. It does not come with a cover, as one review stated, so I recommend getting the cover too, to protect the table from the elements when not in use. I love this table.
