really dislike this product. It gave me way more acne than i started with. What I mean is, before I used this, I had 1 or 2 pimples. After using it for 6 weeks, I got rather severe acne. Breaks outs everywhere. Not a purge, but a full on breakout. I got acne on areas of my face that I never got acne before. It was a nightmare. I am now using Curology, and that seems to be taking my newly severe acne down a notch. I am uncertain about this product. I have been using it for almost 3 weeks now. My pores might look a little smaller, but other than that I am not too sure if it is working. I use it every other night. If i use it every night, I break out more. Every other night doesn't make me break out more than usual, but i still have acne in my troubled areas. I don't have any redness or irritation though. If there are any great changes in the future, I'll come back and edit my review ... show more

Update: This is my 3rd bottle that I’ve ordered from them. This oil was not the same color as the previous 2 bottles. It has a bad odor and it is not working. It leaves my face feeling oily. I have read on other reviews of similar situations but I thought maybe they were just complainers. Nope! I absolutely loved my first two bottles but this 3rd bottle was a waste of money. I lowered it from my original 5 star review to 3 stars. I’ve been using this product every night before bed for about 3 weeks. It is oily going on, which made me nervous at first. With other oil based products I usually get breakouts. This did not cause a breakout. It seems to soak in within about a half hour. Result: I have been very happy with the results. I was getting pretty significant wrinkles around me eyes. They seemed to have really gotten deeper in the past few months. That is why I decided to try this. I wish I had done before and after pictures. Those deep wrinkles are much softer. They are not gone but soft enough that I don’t feel self conscious about them.     • Noticeable results on first use: need more to use more
So far I have used it for 4 days and yes there is a noticeable difference. Not crazy but i have been waking up with super smooth clean. (Also, to be transparent, I did just start a whole new skincare routine). This retinol I use at night after my cleanse and moisturiser. I added the cerave SA cleaner, and the Paula’s Choice, Verse Dew point moisturiser in the morning. At night I do my regular cleaner, retinol, and my moisturiser :) that way you can see what else I am adding. I can’t 100% attribute my clearer skin to this but I can attribute my smooth AM “I woke up like this” to the retinol. ... show more

I love this product! I noticed improvement within the first few days. I use the product every other day and I can tell my skin loves it. Before using, I had so many breakouts but especially around my cycle. But since I’ve started using, my acne dark spots have lightened and I have had very minimal breakouts. ... show more

A friend of mine introduced me to The Ordinary. I decided to try the retinol and I have seen great results. I have had comments on it skin glowing and some of my sun spots of lightened or disappeared. The price is very reasonable and I love that dermatologists recommend this. Im in my late 20s and I just started using retinol. Have no idea why i waited so long to try this! It doesn’t help with my blackheads but this product has helped me a lot with dark spots on my face!
