I am a hobby machinist and have a Smithy 3-1 Granite Max. Centering things was always super time consuming and made me not want to mess with some projects *I am still without a DRO*. Adding this indicator to my arsenal and spending 30 minutes on youtube, I have become pretty proficient at getting my rotary table centered consistently. I would not use this for Aerospace work, but this will do everything I am able to do within the limitations of my machine for 500 bux less. ... show more

    • I'm used to top of the line at previous jobs.
The price and reviews made it appealing when the next higher priced units had poor reviews. I bought this because when I changed jobs (even tho the machine capabilities were a huge downgrade) I still wanted the ease and accuracy of using a coaxial indicator. Not disappointed at all with this unit!

Nice piece. Accurate. I spin mine 100 rpm in the cnc and that's plenty fast. It does come with a worthless wrench.
