I always use the top load washer in the pass at my rental places. After I purchased my forever home, I want to give a front load washer a try. I want to add pedestal to it because of all the benefit associate with it. I choose this pedestal over those accessories pedestal each washer manufacturer offers for the following reason: 1. Long term saving. The brand pedestals are not cheap. They are usually $300/each, and I will spend $600 for the washer/dryer set. That's half the price of what this pedestal cost. However, it will brake even when I getting my second set in maybe 5-10 years. Washer and dryer these days are not made to last. The manufacturer want us to keep buying it so they can profit, and make their shareholder happy. 2. This Pedestal fits all washers as long as the overall dimension fits. Another problem for the brand pedestal is that the manufacturer always make proprietary design on it. It could be a marginal dimension different (27.2 inch in width instead of 27 inch). One "L" shaped latch in one corner for brand A, instead of another shape of hole for brand B. Any of these problem can make one brand of pedestal not fit for another brand. That make changing to different brand of washer/dryer in the future hard. I will have to stick to one brand if I want to save money. Even then, the manufacturer may do an update on the design to make it not fit, so they can squeeze more money out of us. All of these can be solved with this custom pedestal. I will be free to switch brand in the future if I desire. 3. The open storage space underneath. Some cheaper brand pedestal does not provide storage, most of them do provide it in a form of drawer, and you are limited with whatever interior space it provides. Some brand's drawer is not even tall enough to fit regular liquid laundry detergent. And then you absolutely cannot fit an laundry basket in it. But this pedestal created one large continuous space underneath V.S. two small and divided spaces. Again, more freedom of choice on what to put under the pedestal. 4. Easier maintenance. Instead of pulling the whole thing out. I can crawl under to inspect or fix something on the back, like power cord,, water hose, clean dryer vent, etc. I also want to highlight a few things regarding the pedestal and seller: 1. This pedestal is strong, and sturdy. It has multiple beam/brace underneath to reinforce it. After putting the washer set on it, I stand on the pedestal to reach to the back in order to check if water valves. That's additional 185 lb weight. Also, the pedestal doesn't make any noise as long as the washer model doesn't have shaking issue. 2. The seller, John, is very thoughtful by providing a small jar of touch up paint. It's almost unavoidable to have some bang when moving the pedestal in place, try to loaded the washer/dryer to the pedestal, or even during the transit, some color transfer from protective blanket to the pedestal. All of the problem can be solved by touch up paint. 3. The seller, John is very responsive when communicating. I ordered an full size pedestal instead of custom one. I didn't expect any communication from the seller because I thought that is for custom design only. Yet John reach out to ask for the brand and model of washer/dryer I have, or want to buy. He also asked for the pictures and dimension of where I want to put the pedestal. This would give him the confident that the pedestal and washer/dryer would fit. I actually did that myself to ensure that, but I can see how that is not always the case for other buyer. So this is a nice insurance for some buyers. 4. It looks a lot more elegant and blend in environment better than branded pedestal. All in all, I am extremely happy with this pedestal and seller. We wanted to raise our front loading washer / dryer combo but the question was how to best do it. First thought was for something that looked and worked well. It also needed to fit the unique dimensions of our washroom without the need to change anything else. We also really wanted our baskets stowed underneath to save space and ease loading and unloading the machines. After a lot of looking, we luckily came across The Elevation Pedestal in a google image search and it was love at first sight. It looked like high quality furniture that would match most any nice washroom. Great… but now what. We contacted the manufacturer and John immediately returned our inquiry. He explained the custom manufacturing and delivery process and answered all of our questions clearly and with much obvious professional knowledge. We were sold :) This solution was our choice. Made the purchase on Amazon then John worked with us to ensure we would get a perfect solution given our preexisting constraints. The pedestal had to be tall and wide enough for our laundry baskets but short enough to fit under preexisting shelves. It also needed to be wide and sturdy enough to fit multiple baskets below. We provided pictures and dimensions and John did all the math necessary for it to fit and remain sturdy. Construction commenced shortly thereafter. We were provided updates and pictures during the build and finishing. We were also provided clear and straightforward shipping expectations. Once the unit was complete (on-time I might add), we were connected with the shipper who then stayed in touch with John and us through a group text. The pedestal was delivered without any trouble and showed up in perfect condition. Recruited some friends the next weekend to help move the washer and dryer around and get everything situated. The pedestal went in perfectly. We could not have asked for a better fit (see the pictures). The baskets fit perfectly below and there was just enough room for the upper shelves without the worry of anything rolling under them or causing any vibration. In fact, speaking of vibration… I added felt feet on the bottom of the pedestal and the washer / dryer units are now noticeably quieter off the floor when in adjacent rooms. Overall, completely satisfied with the purchase, process, and obviously - the end result.     • Classy room laundry room atmosphere
I don't have enough words to accurately describe this entire process but a couple do stick out. Excellent customer service. Flawless delivery. Outstanding product. I thank John for the superior craftsmanship of my custom made pedestal which he combined with an out-of-this world level of communication and care to ensure smooth delivery. From the day John received my order, we have been in regular contacts to ensure that the pedestal would fit in my designated space. I sent him photos of my laundry room space so he could see the future location of my pedestal. John gave me a timeline of the delivery which helped me expedite and complete the renovation of my laundry room. On 6/19/23, the scheduled delivery day, John was messaging me at regular intervals so that I was literally on my front step when the delivery van pulled up. Just by looking at the careful packaging of my pedestal, I knew that I did not have to worry about damages. As a matter of fact, I did not even open the packaging until a week later on 6/27/23 when I was actually ready to finalize the installation. The custom made pedestal, which is a beautiful investment, elevates my basement laundry room from 'blah' to 'classy'.
