My wife wanted to get some stable, usable space on top of the washer/dryer. I looked at several products, but this was the exact measurement for the large, front loading units. It's wonerful. It's super heavy so at first I thought they sent me the wrong item. Even after I put it together i was still a bit worried about the weight, but, turns out it helped to balance my machine. It's not 2 tall or 2 wide for my sandard size machine and easy to assemble...

We recently decided to upgrade our tiny laundry room. We looked at different options, just trying to get more storage space into a tiny room. We had hoped to run a countertop along the backside of the room, but realized it would just cut the room in half. When we found this easy to install counter on Amazon we were very excited and it’s exactly what we needed. We got a countertop without the hassle of building one. The shelf is pretty heavy so it isn't going anywhere. It took a moment to get the items installed. The back and sides should line up, I think I had to rotate each piece to get it to line up. One suggestion for the company, provide a document or reference or instruction as a PDF. The Right and Left sides were marked but the back didn't have a sticker to show which way was out or in. The good thing is there are only 7 screws and it doesn't take a lot to flip them around. I plan to put a bead of white caulk around the edge so any liquid doesn't get under the sides and mess up the wood. ... show more

    • Arrived Cracked in 1/2 and Return policy expects you to pay for shipping and re-stock fee
Under what logic should you be charged a 25% restock fee AND pay for return shipping in order to get some money back. The return instrictions are completely unclear and misleading and provide no support or suggestions on the return of the damaged item. That is the default but will have to see where this leads with escalation. ... show more

    • Beautiful craftsmanship/ packing needs improvement
This is a beautifully crafted piece that is exactly as described. It looks very nice in my laundry room. I ordered the varnished version of this counter. It came promptly and was easy to assemble. The countersunk holes are a quality feature to avoid scratching the underlying surface. All the holes aligned perfectly for assembly. It is very heavy, quality wood, so it is an unwieldy package to carry in while boxed, but once unboxed, it is easier to handle. The manufacturer overlooked varnishing a small part of one edge, but fortunately that is the edge against the wall, and it's a small area, so it isn't noticeable to anyone but me. My only complaint, and the reason for knocking off one star, is the way it was packaged. The three wood pieces for the edges were taped with packing tape to the main countertop. The problem with packing this way is three-fold. First, there is a really sticky tape residue on my counter and the side pieces that I can't get off no matter what I've tried so far. Second, using such wide sticky packing tape over the varnished finish runs a high risk of ruining the finish. Depending on the time of day and angle of light, I can visibly see the areas on my counter where the tape was. I'm hopeful once I finally somehow get the sticky residue off, they won't be apparent. Lastly, the packing tape didn't even serve its purpose in keeping the parts firmly attached for shipping. They broke loose in transit, so the side pieces were all clanking loudly in the box and rubbing against the finished counter and each other. I'm surprised they didn't scratch the surface beyond use, but that was just pure luck. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase, and would definitely buy it again. But I would ask the manufacturer to package it better before shipping. ... show more
