It works well charging and since it has ac don't need an AC adapter to charge the unit itself. It works well charging while stationary but tangles up if using the phone in gameplay. Its size is always as big as weight as much as my phone itself. It's useful for travel where there are no USB ports. I often charge the unit and phone simultaneously to save time. The battery life is really good. I can charge my galaxy note and my kindle in one charge. It has an indicator light to show the charge status. It recharges quickly and holds the charge. I've used it in my backpack to charge visas USB as well. Best buy!
