  • Perfect knee support...until it isn't (contact company if issue)...and a fix for the problem
Color: Black Size: Large
Where do I begin? Very well constructed. It's made from quality materials and the attention to detail with regard to its features is excellent. It works. My kneecap doesn't shift around when I walk (use it for exercise walks and dog walking)...that occasional "niggle" of pain is gone. It's comfortable. When walking, I forget there's anything there (except for the absence of pain). The Velcro tabs don't stick out and look lumpy under my jeans. This was an unexpected bonus. It's easy to put on...my other adjustable ones always seemed to need more fiddling with to get just right. It doesn't bunch up while I'm walking...like some of the other non-adjustable ones used to do. It fits just right...it doesn't mind that my upper knee area is a bit...ahem...more developed than it should be. Ahhh....the fit....feels good. I'm glad a bought a back-up for when I wash it and it needs to dry before wearing again. I'd hate to have to substitute one of the old ones for those days. UPDATE: Three months later (wearing once a day for a 4 mile walk), the Velcro no longer sticks to the fuzzy fabric. No matter how much I bend my knee before affixing, it pulls apart the minute I start to walk (and, no, I don't walk funny). Why can't this manufacturer use Velcro for both sides of the attachment? Fuzzy stuff just doesn't hold up. [Iron-on Velcro won't hold on the fuzzy and it's too hard for me to get a needle through...I was so hoping I could fix this.] My search continues...I won't bother buying another one of these at this price. UPDATE 2 (same day as update 1): I added in one of the stars I'd deducted. TechWare contacted me without my asking...and offered a replacement for the support I'd just trashed and potentially a replacement for the second support I'd purchased at the same time as that one...which I just started using this morning and so can't evaluate it. Great customer service deserves a star of its own. Thanks, Ted! UPDATE 3: The second one I'd bought is not showing any signs of Velcro inadequacy. I'm thinking I just got a funky one the first time. Thanks, again, Ted!!! UPDATE 4: All of mine started showing signs of weak Velcro....definitely not a heavy duty version of the stuff. BUT If you otherwise like this one as much as I do, get yourself some Handy Bands (Amor Imports) to secure the knee brace straps. They work wonderfully and will extend the life of your knee brace. ... show more

  • Great Knee Brace and Huge Value for the Price
Color: Black Size: Large
This is a great knee brace for the money. It’s not too bulky and provides great support. You can wear it underneath clothes and it’s not too obvious you’re wearing a brace. I can imagine with a lot of use the Velcro will wear out, but that’s ALL Velcro! I would definitely buy this again and again when the Velcro wears out. ... show more

  • Not quite what I was looking for
Color: Black Size: XXLarge
Product came late. I believe it went on the wrong truck because it went to a city 2.5-3 hours in the opposite direction from where it should have gone, so more than likely amazon's fault and not the sellers. Bought this with the intention of trying to remedy what I think is tendinitis (jumper's knee). The stability is there, but I don't think this is what I needed. I may have gotten too big a size, my knee does not stay in the hole like it should and no matter what I try to do it bunches up in the back. I'm going to give it a full 24 hours before I make any big decisions, but as of right now I really only notice the support along the sides of my knee and the compression above/below knee where the straps are located. I was able to walk up a flight of stairs without sharp pain, so there is that. It does say in the product description that it is supposed to help out with tendinitis, hopefully it does! ** Update: I gave it 24hrs. It wasn't the type of support I wanted/needed. I followed the vendor instructions for sizing and determined I need an XXL (4 inches above my knee had a circumference of 23in). When I put it on, the back was bunching up (which I think means there was too much loose material) and pinching me even though I had the straps as tight as I could possibly make it without turning it into a tourniquet. The biggest bummer to me was that even though I had it as tight as I could stand, the hole my patella was supposed to fit into wasn't applying a firm even pressure and wouldn't hold my knee cap in place. I don't think I got the right fit, but instead of playing this back and forth shipping game I'm just going to go to the local sports store and buy something there. The side to side stability was great, but the firm pressure to the front of my knee just wasn't there. The material quality seemed to be decent. ... show more
