The media could not be loaded. I have a Yamaha R1 (with spools) and a BMW F650GS (without spools), and this stand works perfectly on both bikes. I can fairly easily lift the rear of both bikes by myself, another reviewer said it takes two people. I guess with a really heavy bike you might want somebody to spot you, but with my bikes it's not a problem - just be a little careful. Changing the stand from "standard mode" to "spooled mode" or vice-versa is very fast, less than 60 seconds to flip both sides over and re-tighten the bolt using the supplied and very handy thumb wrenches - so no tools are needed. The stand is very stable with both bikes, I can sit on them while on the stand (again be careful not to lean over too far, but it is stable). This is my second Pit Bull stand, my first one was stolen (different style). Pit Bull makes an excellent quality stand, they say it will outlast your bike, but I think it will outlast me! The only things that can possibly wear or break on this stand are the wheels themselves, which seem durable, and the rubber pad on the standard mode may get chewed up after years of use. But that pad could probably be cut off and replaced with a few wraps of 100 mph tape. If your bike can take spools (there will be an open threaded hole near the rear of the swingarm, by the axle) but doesn't actually have them, you can buy them pretty cheap, and Pit Bull actually sells them too. Overall I highly recommend this stand. Even if you only have one bike, it seems worth the extra few dollars to have one that is adaptable so you can use it on your friends bikes or any other bikes you may get in the future. ... show more

I was reluctant to buy this because it is really expensive compared to pretty decent models from Vortex, ect. However you can easily see that there is heavy gauge steel used here and quality welds-- It makes a difference. Sometimes I need to pull the stand sideways while the bike is still on it in the garage and It is strong enough to do this. I don't think this is a part to skimp on, you want the strongest stand there is. ... show more

    • The best money can get you
This is simply the very best the market has to offer. I researched for Motorcycle stands in Amazon and I was gonna settle for some front and back wheel stand set which looked pretty cool (black color). I saw this PB stand in the list, but judging by the picture and the price (the yellowish copper color didn't catch my eye), I discarded the option immediately. I then saw video reviews on the web, and I stumbled upon the Pit Bull stand. I then realized the HUGE gauge the tubes of this stand are made of (comparing to EVERYONE else in the market), and the quality of the welds. It then struck me: if I buy a flimsy stand and my bike falls, it's gonna cost me a hella lot more to repair it than to pay for a real stand. So, I took the leap. Fast forward the weekend, and I receive this huge box in my doorstep. I open it wondering what it is, and it is the stand! The stand itself is not that big, but the packaging to protect the stand and all of the bubble wrap around the stand make the box big (impressive service too). The stand is not too heavy, not too light. The color did not catch my eye in the thumbnails, but once you see it in person, it is a beautiful finish and shows the quality of the materials invested. It comes with spool and swingarm heads, in case your bike has no spools. I would recommend you get spools ANY way you can, they are 200% secure. The swingarm heads are slightly unsafer by design (bike design), as they can slip if you don't wipe the swingarms before mounting. All in all, if you are looking for a rear stand (and a front stand too), look no further. This is the best of the best in Motorcycle stands hands down. Plus, (I may be wrong) but according to what I've seen, professional race teams use these stands. Enough said? =D PS. look at the pics of my Ninja ZX6R on the stand - perfect. ... show more

    • Definitely a case of higher price = better quality
MUCH better than the cheap-o rear stand that I was using before, which flexed so badly that it wound up dropping my previously-flawless bike on its side during an oil change (thank goodness the frame sliders took the brunt of the damage). Feels SUPER secure once you pop that handle down to the floor, and lifting/lowering effort is pretty minimal. VERY well engineered, with MUCH better materials used. Is it more expensive? Sure. But TOTALLY worth every penny. Don't cheap out like I did and risk your bike to a tip-over by using a cheap-o rear stand - painful hard lesson learned. ... show more

Solid VERY HD stand, Works great. Worth the extra money for a stand you can count on and use over and over. Hits the fender/plate cuz its low on my 2008 B-king but thats comeing off in a few weeks anyways so it doesnt matter. If u want a stand to outlast your ride this is the one!!

    • I didn't receive the liner and the handle will not sit properly on fixed bolt so it doesn't work

I was so excited, and as soon as I opened the box I discovered that it didn't have the liner and that was the only reason I picked this one otherwise I could have gotten the same one for $75 instead and then while in the process of putting it together I was having a really hard time getting the handle to go on the fixed bolt correctly and then I realized that the fixed bolt was misshapen and it has 2 burs on the bottom 1/3 of the fixed bolt rendering it completely useless without any proper tools to fix it. And I absolutely hate returning things it's such a waste of time to perches something expect what was described only to find out it isn't and then waist more time just trying to get what you purchased in the first place when simply checking the products before they are sent would fix this problem. ... show more
