First off I wanted to say that I am in no way an artist. I can draw basic shapes & some stick figures. With that being said, I have gone to my regular tattoo artist for all of my tattoos & I have over 50. I was getting tired of spending $100-200 for small, more simple tattoos that my artist whips out in less than ten minutes. So, I decided to look into getting my own machine. I read lots of reviews, shopped around, finally settled on this one. Now like I said, I am the beginner of beginners. I’ve never done a stick & poke or anything myself before. Overall this tattoo pen is serious awesome. It is really lightweight, easy to set up & use. Super quiet, low vibration. I watched a TON of beginner tattoo tutorials before even practicing on the fake skin (it comes with two). I had no idea what voltage to use before, or even that there was different voltages LOL. It’s important to match your hand speed with the voltage when you pull lines, I prefer to set it at 8.5 personally. Also NEEDLE DEPTH. Super glad I started practicing on the fake skins because I would have made chicken scratches on myself. So watch some videos & practice first!! The kit really does come with everything you need, & for $60 I think this is a steal. The foot pedal works great, power source is neat (has sticky stuff in the bottom so it doesn’t fly around), one of the fake skins has some “stencils” so you can practice pulling lines. Also comes with grip tape, cartridges & ink. This ink is clearly practice ink, DONT USE IT ON YOUR SKIN. Please buy higher quality ink!! I noticed after about 30 min of practicing on the fake skins the ink starts to coagulate in the cartridge & WATCH OUT if it does this because sometimes the needle doesn’t retract! Almost had myself a needle poke a couple times. The cartridges are sanitized (with EO gas) & sealed. I would also recommend buying more fake skins because they fill up fast, I also wanted lots of practice. Make sure to get green soap/distilled water for cleaned after tattoo & isopropyl alcohol for prep. I practiced for two days then said kowabunga dudes let’s do it, & whipped out this Deathly Hallows tattoo on my foot (I know my feet are weird). I also touched up some lines on a few other tattoos. I am now about a week out from healing, the picture was taken a day after, & everything is healing great! BUY THIS! Seriously, so awesome. I’ve already saved a lot of money by learning some more simple stuff myself. Ink doesn't take well at all 😭 but far as everything else I love that's my only down part is the ink so I'll need to spend more money for better ink

Great for beginners that dont know where to start. Literally gives u everything u need for practice on fake skin only. The inks are not safe for real skin. The only thing is, it would b pretty usefull if it included some 1RL needles

I absolutely love it. I have never been interested in doing tattoos because of how big and awkward tattoo guns are. This pen is so easy to use And it's light weight. If you're just starting to tattoo I highly recommend getting this

Had problems with it turning on. So I returned it for another one And they sent me a new one right away. They even threw in two skin Practice skins. :) I'm very pleased with my purchase.

    • Dangerous starts without warning, right out of the box. Beware!

The media could not be loaded. Power supply starts and stops the tattoo pen without warning. Not very safe when dealing with biohazards. This is 15 minutes out of the box. Will update if replacement or compensation is made.

    • Cheap, but it will get you started.
The pedal on this kit is the cheapest style I have ever used. It is literally two metal plates with a spring…I’m hardcore not a fan of this. The pen itself feels nice, and I really like that it came with practice ink. Keep in mind the ink it includes lists itself as “for practice only”.
