The unit was larger than i expected and the flow is higher than expected. I mean this thing moves a lot of water. If you have a tiny tank or pond this is not the unit for you. I brought my Koi indoors for winter, this unit is perfect for my needs. Once in the tank in my garage they expelled tons of poo, this filter picked got it all. I cleaned it after two day of use and the water quality has stayed clean and clear. the bubbler function works only if you arent limiting the pump flow., otherwise it turns into a squirt gun. ... show more

When we first started using this filter it was great. Water was clean and kept it clear for up to 7 days. Well lately after cleaning it within 2 days the filter stops working . Take it out to clean it and works again right away until a few hours later it stops again. Repeat the process clean it and it works. But it's not clogged after a few hours---there is only a turtle in the tank and he's still a young one. Had the same issue with another filter which was sent back and replaced with this one. Now out almost $50 and cannot return :( ... show more

I like that it works well maybe yoo well. I gave a 5 gal it's too powerful for one this size, my frog gets tossed around and the food as well, not sure if it adjustable. I can't find any place to do so. It is good and I recommend if you have a larger tank but, I will gave to get something less powerful too given my frog some peace . ... show more

When I first got it, it was amazing the filter worked and made the water crystal clear but after a couple days it started to slow down, now it just doesn’t work much and makes a loud humming sound. I cleaned it out, put everything back exactly how it was but it still doesn’t work well.

This filter is totally awesomeness!!!! I have a huge tank for my turtle 🐢 and thus thing keeps it good and clean and it's pretty powerful flow so my big guy likes his free rides as well lol 😆!!!
