    • Great Amp! Too much power for my application but I have it tuned to my taste.
I have this paired to two American Bass Hawk 10's. It's way too much motor structure & Amp for those small cones but that's no fault of the Amp's. Only thing of note, the amp fan is a bit noisy (mine's under my driver seat).

    • Great power for the money
First of big 3 and batteries needed also an alternator 250 and up . This amps need the clean power to run at their best. I have the big 3 plus a 250 alternator and two xs power batteries and the more expensive smart 5k didn't want to play so i got the cheaper bass 5k and its killing my skar vfx 15 but i need a bigger alternator like a 390 to keep everything running at optimal level cause my 250 is not keeping up. Great amp and i got it new here for 350 don't know how but i did . ... show more

These other reviews that give this amp 1 star because "it wasn't the shade of grey" he expected, or the "seller was late getting the product out," (when the demand for car audio is at an all-time high with the unemployed making 200% of their pre-covid income) are just plain stupid. What does that have to do with the function of the amplifier? Getting to the point. - Pros - Good looking (even with the picture of the subwoofer breaking glass) Great value (watt/$) Stays cool with onboard fan Super efficient, especially at 4 ohms On amp clipping light - Cons - Fan is pretty loud, and can be heard over super low volumes Seems a little more power hungry when playing under 30hz when compared to a quality Korean board. I believe there is no output filtering, whereas I know Banda does provide inductive filtering. Though a voice coil should take care of most unwanted distortion anyways (outside of clipping). As for my setup; I've got this powering a dual 2 ohm Adire Audio Tumult, at 4 ohms. The two just pound from 30-37hz in a custom downfiring enclosure tuned to 33hz. I wish I could have gone down to 31 hz, but space and plexi didn't allow it. I can't really speak of how it reacts to being pushed hard at 1 ohm, since I could only afford 1 sub due to space, needed for cargo, and expendable income right now. You always get what you pay for. But this amp is great for the money. Stay away from the MD 5000 that is a straight trash amp. Never happened a problem out this bass 5k.
