The Blender Bottle Classic 20-Ounce Shaker Bottle makes it easy to maintain proper nutrition and hydration on-the-go. Featuring a patented mixing system—with a 316 surgical-grade stainless steel BlenderBall wire whisk (found only in Blender Bottle brand shaker cups) that moves freely inside the bottle to smooth out drink mixes and meal ingredients—it’s ideal for protein shakes, smoothies, fiber drinks, and meal replacements. It’s also a handy kitchen tool for mixing pancake batter, scrambled eggs, and salad dressings. The wide mouth makes it easy to add scoops of powdered mixes, meal ingredients, and liquids, and emBOSSed markings show both ounces and milliliters for easy measuring anywhere (note that markings on the 20-ounce capacity shaker cup only go up to 12 ounces). Bottle contents and liquids are securely contained thanks to a tightly threaded screw-on lid that creates a leakproof seal, and a flip cap that snaps securely shut for shaking and transportation. The convenient loop top makes it easy to carry the bottle and offers a place to attach car keys while at the gym. I've used this occasionally for over 4 years. I've been working out more at home recently and I've been using 24 ounce wide mouthed mason jars with plastic storage lids instead just because I use them for smoothies and they came to hand before this blender bottle. I realized that they blended better then this blender bottle does with its mixing ball. I started using this bottle without the mixing ball. It mixes better without the mixing ball. The whey protein I use in this would clump in the wire mixing ball and there would be lumps in the bottom corners of the bottle or just floating around in the mix when I used the ball. It mixes better without the ball and it's easier to clean without powder in the corner and without the ball. It might work better if the mixing ball were a blunt caltrop and heavier. It's easier to swig from this than a mason jar, you won't be pouring too much at once all over yourself or spilling in a gym setting but the cap is hard to unsnap, I need two hands and some concentration. ... show more
