I gave this amp 3 stars on price because of the inflation Only. The amp itself is 5 star worthy. During normal pricing days, you will pay more for Fosgate than most amps. I have two amps so I can compare to this amp. Pioneer 9701(1200 watts amp) and skar rp 1200 watts amp. I have a smd dd1 to set the gains on these amps. To my ears, the Fosgate out performs them both. Bass sounds smooth and cleaner. Not saying that the other two amps are bad amps, they’re very good amps for that price range. They are budget minded amps. But their is a significant difference in quality in these 3 amps mentioned. I will and have recommended pioneer and skar products to people and install them in their vehicles. So they do very well and they won’t hurt your bank account too much. ... show more

    • As an old school bass head, this amp delivers a lot of bang for the buck!
I realize there are likely much more powerful amps available today but as a 44 year old bass head that is just getting back into car audio after a 25 year hiatus, the power this amp delivers for the money is outstanding. I still have Phoenix Gold and Rockford amps that are over 20 years old and only produce a 300-400 watts and cost much more at the time. Delivering 1500 watts at 1ohm to a pair of Sundown SA12 classics in custom ported boxes is a completely different experience than I had in the 90s. I love the C.L.E.A.N. feature on these amps. After setting properly setting the gain, I have rattled my car and eardrums and yet to experience any clipping. It runs surprisingly cool. I also like the incremental detents on the bass knob. Its an fosgate amp enough said!!!! Rated for 1200x1@ 1 ohm brith sheet said it tested @ 1 ohm 1456 rms. This is the cheapest line of amps from fosgate it hits hard all day long never gets hot. Fosgate amplifiers has always been well made and durable. Let me say this again this is their cheapest line up. Its pushing 2 t1s 10" each speaker is 600 rms wired to 1 ohm 1200 rms and this little amp has no problem pushing them and actually it has a little too much power for those speakers. ... show more

It’s been a while since I’ve done any car audio work. With this amp it could NOT have been easier. I plugged power in, grounded, spliced into the existing speaker line and bam! We have sound. No need to run a remote power, it can automatically detect when you turn on the car and it powers up. Awesome. I’m running 2 - 4 ohm dual bounce coil 10”s wired to a final 1 ohm. This little amp kills it. It comes with a paper with all the capabilities of the amp tested before leaving the shop. Mine makes 1472 watts at 1ohm. I love it. ... show more
