I purchased this product to cover my cats litter pan. I received it in half the time predicted. The packaging was exceptional! Everything was in excellent shape. It looks lovely and the quality was very good! My biggest problem was some of the hardware was so tiny it made it difficult to assemble so it took longer than expected and a lot of fumbling with my old fingers. However, it otherwise went together very nicely. I finished it late in the evening and both cats seem happy to use it. they are very clean and fastidious but I was afraid the abrupt change might upset them. No problem at all and they were both peacefully sleeping on top of it this morning! A win win for me and it looks really nice! ... show more

I bought this to help contain litter, and it does well for that. Easy to assemble and looks great. I like the clean look and being able to use it as another surface. The only bad thing is that the divider inside is attached by 4 extremely small and thin dowel pins. Two of them snapped in half during install, even though I was being careful. I was able to make it work with the remaining 2 pins, but wish those pieces had been a little sturdier. Everything else has held up well with months of use. ... show more

I am happy with this purchase. There are no "non-traffic" places in my house it has an open floor plan. As I was bringing the kitties from their introduction room to the rest of the house, the most logical place for the litter at that time was a corner of the living room. Not where I wanted the litter to end up, but they are used to it in that corner now and I don't like having it out in the open when company comes over. This cabinet fits well with my decor and is large enough for a jumbo litter box. My kitties are 9 months old at the moment and a bit over 10 lbs. So they are almost full grown. It looks to me as if this litter loo will be big enough to accomodate them as they get older. They took to it right away. I only took 1 star off of the easy to assemble because you do need a screw driver to put it together and I had a hard time finding the right size. I don't have a LOT of tools around the house. I did make one mistake with the top and had to move the screws that attach the top to the cabinet. By the time I got to that point, my hand was tired and I didn't get it screwed flush. But you really can't tell unless you get down on the floor and look for it. The mistake was my bad -- the instructions were clear, I just got a bit turned around. I read some of the reviews and they said it only took an hour to put together -- It took me longer than that. But the piece is a good size, appears very sturdy, light enough for me to pick up and move. I have been cleaning daily and it is easy to open the doors reach in and clean. I do want to get more for the litter boxes in other rooms. ... show more

Assembly process: If you're familiar with assembling furniture with IKEA style hardware, this will give you no huge issues. Otherwise, you may have a learning curve ahead of you here. The instructions aren't amazing, and are printed very small so grab your reading glasses. Some of the holes are not exactly where they appear in the instructions, but the relative sizes are correct. Note that it IS possible to easily install the entry hole on the other side, simply swap pieces D and E from the diagram that is shown in the instructions (all the holes you need are already drilled to do this). I assembled it by myself (not heavy, just required a little planning of how to support some pieces) but it would be easier with two people. Final product: It looks very nice. Not all chipped and scratched up like a lot of these products arrive. It is not as heavy or thick as it looks from the photo, but is sturdy enough to do the job unless your cat is a bulldozer. My doors didn't line up quite right so one wasn't catching the magnetic latch all the way, but I was able to fix it by adding some felt feet to the bottom of the doors and now it works just fine. Overall: Assembly is annoying but the final product is both attractive and functions fine for the price. ... show more

I was just appreciating this box-for-a-box the other day and remembered that I hadn't written a review, but here goes. For those without a dedicated utility room to place a litter box out of sight, this box helps you hide your cat's box, even in plain sight (as long as you keep up with it). My family has been using this enclosure for 4 years now, across two different homes, and it's held up great. Due to the weird layout of our house, this box sits in the nook just before our main hall. Even with that being the case, most visitors don't know there's a little box in there until I open it to clean it. It's great and I highly recommend it! ... show more

    • Pretty good furniture for litter box.

Very sturdy piece of furniture to cover a litter box. Although any liquid spilled inside immediately causes the particle board to swell up. So not the greatest if your cat decides to mark his scent inside the walls the first night you have it together. And it’s very difficult to clean all the nooks, crannies, and corners after it’s been assembled. The smell soaks in and you end up cursing the money wasted. So for that reason I’d say it’s not worth the steep price tag. The instructions are a little confusing and there are certain steps that need to go in order that aren’t clearly explained, but you can probably figure it out after some trial and error. I certainly wish this came with some sort of waterproof coating inside or a tray fitted to cover the joints of the walls/floor. ... show more

My kittens absolutely love this. My one kitten uses it for a hiding spot when she isnt feeling like peopleing. I definitely recommend getting one of these if you dont have a lot of places for kitty litter.
