I had a fairly odd application for this net that it worked great for...a small climbing net attached to a treehouse I built for my kids. This wasn't intended as a big climbing wall but as more of a small staircase to get from one level to the next. I got this for my 21 GMC 1500 and it was just a bit small. I know it said for Chevy but typically they are the same. It seemed to be made of nice material and would have done the job well but it was a bit too narrow to fit the bed of my truck.

    • Helps hold stuff inside when the tailgate is down
I have a short pickup truck bed, 5.5 feet. Often, if I have to carry standard 8 foot lumber or other long items, I have to leave the tailgate down. If there are other things in the bed, they risk falling out while driving. This cargo net gives me piece of mind while carrying stuff with the tailgate down. It is made from very heavy duty nylon with strong straps and metal grommets. It has rubber bungie balls and the heaviest-duty carabiners to attach the net to the bed side walls. There are even a second set of grommets inboard of the end grommets so it can be used on a mid-size pickup truck. This cargo net has become an integral part of my pickup truck accessories. I keep it folded under the rear seat in case I ever need to use it. A great, great value and piece of mind for truck owners. ... show more

The tailgate netting is cheaply made, and does not come with any way to attach it to my F150 without me doing other work first, Threw it in the junk file maybe I can use it for something else, but definitely not a tailgate

    • Initially thought this might be a little overpriced...
The webbing isn't as robust as I was expecting, however, it's not insubstantial either. In all reality, the bungees are going to be the weak point if you're going to strictly use it the way it's shipped. Either way, the webbing is more than adequate - if you truly need something more robust, maybe you should be relying on more than just a net. This net gives a ton more freedom with whatever you're hauling than your solid tailgate will and in many situations it's going to be a better option than an open tailgate and tie-downs. It's super easy to install and remove when you need it, and there are multiple grommets for installation across the length of it so it can be tightened or loosened as needed - though another set of them (so there are extras on both ends) would be welcome. It's well sewn, comes with some nice ball-ended bungees and some pretty solid carabiners. After spending a little time with it, I feel it's worth the asking price and would recommend it. ... show more

I got this for the back of a flatbed trailer we built. It's perfect to stretch across the back of the trailer and help keep things secure. The straps are sturdy and I appreciate the two sets of grommets on one side that allow users to adjust the width for their needs.
