  • Guidance on instructions
Color: Grey/Orange
Directions are useless, highly recommend to practice setting up before leaving on your adventure It states poles and sleeves are color coded yellow, black and grey. The poles have colors but all sleeves are orange. After an hour of watching general product reviews / videos on YouTube and then figuring out on my own, below are better instructions. - pole A = yellow color coded, is the center pole that spans door to door and between the black poles - poles B = black color codes, are next to center yellow A pole, and also spans door to door - poles C = grey color coded, go perpendicular to other poles above - poles D = shorter side poles x4 and connect to grey poles with the hubs - poles E = longer side poles x6 and connect to remaining hubs Now to use in the forest!! I hope this helps!! ... show more

  • Huge and High Quality
Color: Grey/Orange
This tent is massive. A 6’3 man can easily stand up With out touching the roof. Quality materials. Tent has a room separator located in the middle that is somewhat removable and a sleeve for an extension cord. There were water leaks near the doors and some windows. Mostly accumulating near zippers and there were slight drips in other areas too. Held up great in the storm besides minor water leaks. Some of the cons is that it very difficult to put up as the directions provided are somewhat confusing. Due to it’s size storage and disassembly is difficult. Tent spikes are on the cheap side. The tent needs completely level ground and needs to be spread out tightly to avoid creating troughs towards the bottom that will collect water and dirt. Overall a really good quality tent. Just make sure your campsite is large enough to accommodate it. I recommend waterproofing the outside with water repellent and proofing the seams. ... show more

  • Faulty zipper upon opening
Color: Grey/Orange
Loved the tent and it's size. Average person may struggle with assembly. Definitely assemble a time or two before a trip. Upon assembly, I discovered that one side of the front window was sewed shut and the other side of the same window had damaged zippers and I was unable to zip it down.

  • Great Tent! So Much Room!
Love it so far! Set it up at the Texas Renaissance Festival on Sept. 23, 2017, and left it up for 10 straight weeks until we had to take it down on the Monday after Thanksgiving. At one point we did string a tarp past the midpoint of it and a 10x10 pop-up in front of it to create a walkway and rain-safe "patio." Leaving it set up that long, we did get the occasional water in it due to rainstorms - mostly through the one big window (only one half has a big window), and not a ton of water. Also, I don't know how, but somehow we got a small hole in the corner under that same window, and ants moved in and created a bed inside! Discovered that while tearing down that same Monday, and it was dispatched with rather easily (thankfully!). But, we were silly not to spray it with seam sealer\waterproofer before we left that Saturday 9/23. (Unfortunately that Amazon purchase arrived Sunday the 24th!) Our last tent was a Bushnell 11x18 bought from Wally World. It survived the TRF season last year sorta OK, but did not survive the Sherwood Forest Festival Faire AT ALL. It was also a mesh roof tent with a rainfly and floor vents, as this one is. The Bushnell had floating hubs in the ceiling that resulted in roof sagging unless everything was just right (things only learned by googling the issue and talking to friends who had the tent), and a large gap between the mesh ceiling and the fly. The gap kept it cooler in the heat, but in the cold ... the heat from our Mr. Buddy heater just escaped. And when the winds and rain of the Sherwood season came, the gap and the floor vents allowed dirt to be blown all over everything inside the tent. Birds literally tried to build nests between the mesh and the fly. The spring storm winds caused the hubs to move sufficiently to tear holes in the ceiling and is how it finally ended up in the trash. THIS tent ... it hasn't seen Sherwood yet. But I feel much better about it. It has poles rather than those floating hubs, and much less of a gap between the mesh roof and the fly. Which means it gets hot in the Texas heat, unless you open up the windows and set up your bed in the side with the big window (which we did not but will next time). But in the cold, it's beautiful. I'm much less worried about it enduring through wind and rain at Sherwood, where it will end up being set up for 11 straight weeks, assuming it is well staked down (hint: not flimsy skinny metal pins). I have adhesive velcro to close the floor vents when I want to, an idea I came up with after the Bushnell debacle. I wish the room divider in the middle was completely removable, but it's something I worked around as I set up the inside of the tent. Great tent, roomy enough for rolling closet rods, a heater, a bucket potty for when nature calls at 2 am, extra sleeping bags, costume/garb boxes, and more. ... show more

  • 6 cots and a great date, little quirks but otherwise great.
I always put up an extra tarp on top and bottom. Thought it would be breezy but it held up very well. Had a small heater in there for it was 41 degrees, worked great. Center wall is sewed in so that messed up my design plans for cot layout. Has little vens on one side too. I do not like the velcro at top of windows. Should be a zipper. But tarp covered it. I used a 10 x 20 party ten roof but I may just buy a different t one. The short poles go on the 4 corners or the tent wont connect right. Pretty happy with it. 4 kids mostly teenagers, 2 adults and a great dane and we had plenty of room. Plenty sturdy. Held up fine against storm. The center wall zips totally so u could use one room as an entry and the other for sleeping and have an extra barrier against mosquitos. Also, when rolling back it. Fold it the shirt way and roll it up with poles in middle. Then it will fit in bag. Octogon shape could go. Rather have rectangle for all the cots or make the walls long enough to fit one cot along center wall, 1 cot along side and one along door making it so u can use the other door. ... show more

  • Leaking
Color: Grey/Orange
I used this to go camping for a week with my mother. So far it's done ok BUT we had leaks in several places when it rained. It leaked down around the bottom of the tent where the bottom meets the sides. Also the zipper on one door gives trouble zipping like it's about to tire up. Otherwise, so far, it's done good. I would like to say that I dont see how 16 people can sleep in it. ... show more
