My son’s explorer has a hitch but it is only a 1 1/4” and there aren’t many companies that make lighted hitch covers for that size. This solves this and creates another buffer for those drivers who can’t seem to stop quick enough. The fit was a little snug but a couple seconds on the grinder and it fits like a glove. Great product, well made and works well. The only thing is I have a newer model F-150 that has the tow a trailer assist. When the step is plugged in I constantly get notifications that my “trailers turn signals are malfunctioning”… which makes sense because the step does not have turn signals… Some times the “smart system” isn’t so smart. Overall good product, just know your truck may alert you depending on the “smart” tow options you have. ... show more

This step has saved my back and knees but giving a solid step up/down when getting in and out of my van. I also bought one for my ford f150 and it’s nice to be able to step up to reach into the bed. Also right after installing on my van I was rear ended at a red light. Did no damage to my van but knocked a hole in the guys radiator that hit me 😆 he had to be towed I drove away.. if I hadn’t had this step he would have caused damage to my van. ... show more

Ours arrived and I was so excited to put in the receiver on hubby’s truck only to find the LED strip is installed crooked. Works, though the cord could be slightly longer so not to stress the connection.
