  • Excellent! Pleasantly surprised at how got this RDS is!
****Updated**** Dot - Never failed in 2 hours and was kept on almost continuously. Like I said more 3 MOA than 2 MOA for sure. Quality - So this RDS got around 200+ rounds of 5.56 62gr shot out of it. It passed the durability part of shooting 200 rounds with a few rapid fire. Cover pin for plastic cover got loose but that is nothing shooting critical like some other hahas on here. Solid 5/5. Mount did not move, dials work for wind and elevation and the nob for red / green dot worked flawlessly. By the way I kept the green high dot on all two hours and it never failed. Mount - Did not move one bit...Torqued on and it stayed on with no wiggle throughout the 200+ rounds. Solid and nothing to complain about. Nobs and Dials - It took about 20 rounds to sight in and familiarize. Windage and elevation work but we were not sure if these are 1/4 click dials. All the other stuff is visual but all of it looked sharp and nice...Nothing worse than an ugly gun. Looks more expensive than it is. Below are pics of my range day and the last is a 30 round group at 50yrds with a slight breeze. Good enough for headshots and body. 10 were free hand standing. Impressed. Like I said I could have bought an expensive RDS...Hell I this on a Daniel Defense M4, but I wanted something cheap, reliable, durable and functional as an RDS since I primarily shoot with a 3-12x Nikon scope. This RDS passes the test and by the way, I dropped my case prior to shooting and no problems....I recommend this Tacticon scope to anyone looking for a quality RDS at an excellent price. I guess some people just don’t know how to shoot, sight in a rifle optic or set up for success. ———————- So far so good. Great quality so far and compares well to other RDS I have tried that were easily 5x the price. As good as a friends Vortex. Though the Vortex has a sharper dot but not by much. Like I said 5/5 so far until I hit the range. Dot - sharp and bright. Probably more 3-4 MOA than 2 MOA. Quality - Excellent. Mount - OK, QR is better but that is me. Knobs and Dials - Solid with clicks for elevation and windage. The light dial has excellent resistance so as not to move easily. Weight - Who cares you are a man or woman who trains to carry heavier Looks - Looks like some higher end RDSs and looks awesome. Co-witness - Mine is more 1/3 than co-witness but I have this on a Daniel Defense M4V1 Range day next week will include this on a Daniel Defense M4V1 and a couple of AK patterns. The AK patterns will be last due to more kick and will see how this holds up. Stay tuned. ... show more

  • Very Nice!
I am not a gun enthusiast, I am just trying to fix up my first AR-15. I've wanted a sight mostly for aesthetic reasons, to make my rifle as bad-a** as possible. But I can't afford many of the high-end accessories. I picked this Tacticon Armament Predator sight because it looked good, it was affordable, and the reviews were great. When I received it, the first thing I notice is that it feels like quality. It is a good, solid piece and all the parts, like the lens caps, fit snugly together. The sight comes with a two pack of batteries, even though only one is needed. I inserted a battery, turned the red/green dot knob, and it lit up. I was especially impressed with how clear the lens are. Before attaching it to rifle, I took a little time to view through it around the house. Everything was crystal clear and the dots appeared centered. The dot was larger than expected, but not overwhelming or distracting. Plus, the knob dials so you can select the intensity for the dot, from dim to bright. My only issue with the dot, and its not a big deal to me, is that it looks like it isn't a dot itself, but a cluster of pinpoint dots. The cluster doesn't exactly create a round dot, but more of an irregular circle of a dot. It's hardly noticeable, but my OCD noticed right away. The sight fit on my picatinny rail with no problem, but I had a little trouble tightening the knob sufficiently to prevent a little wiggle. Maybe I just don't have the hand strength needed. An adjustable wrench fixed that. The sight aligned perfectly with my iron sights. That was one of my main worries when purchasing the sight - that it wouldn't co-witness my stock front sight (the 'A' style iron sight that comes on many AR rifles). It did line up perfectly and, even better, it removes the necessity to use the rear sight! Even though the red dot sight co-witnesses with both front and rear iron sights, it does relieve some eye strain being able to put the rear sight down and just peer straight through the scope. No more squinting through the tiny hole of the rear sight. Once its zeroed in, just align the red/green dot with the front sight. I gave it 5 stars because, for the money, I don't think you can do better. However, the company should change the wording on the registration page. They refer to it as a subscription. As someone who detests telemarketers, I try to avoid subscriptions like the plague. I would have been reluctant had I not read other reviews which mention this. I haven't had it on the range yet, but if I run into any issues, I will update. ... show more
