  • Easy setup, great remote service. Noninvasive means of recon.
Great cell cam, easy set up, great app plan for under 100$ per year. clear pictures, quiet, night flash doesn’t alert deer. The signal works great even in remote locations. Would highly recommend this camera.

  • Cellular Game Cameras Compared: Bushnell, Spypoint, Tactacam
Cellular Game Cameras Compared: Bushnell, Spypoint, Tactacam Bushnell CelluCORE 20 Some of the older, more traditional game cameras I've used from even a few years ago are not comparable to the latest cellular cameras. For starters, I bought a bargain-priced Bushnell Cellucore 20 https://amzn.to/3xB6bE4 . As I write this, you can pick one up for $54.80, SD card and batteries not included. It takes 12 AA batteries and the base plan runs $9.99 per month, the “unlimited” plan $14.99 per month. You get your first month free with purchase. I see no discount if you add multiple cameras and no annual subscription discount, either. If you used four cameras, with the unlimited plan, that's $719.52 per year. The Bushnell App is excellent. The battery life seems quite good. Bushnell claims up to six months, but that will vary widely based on use. Image quality, both day and night, is just average. If you wanted just one camera, say for three months user in the fall, I'd call it a good value. Used as a three or four camera system, it isn't competitive. SPYPOINT Flex G-36 Next, I bought a Spypoint Flex G-36 https://amzn.to/3VRSgDL . I have very little positive to say about it: poor images, poor battery life, false triggers, and so it goes. The app is decent, you can get a free plan (100 pictures per month), and the unlimited plan is $120 per year. Whenever I review a product, the sample size is often one, but this Spypoint Flex G-36 was so poor all I can say is don't bother. This is one trail cam to avoid. TACTACAM Reveal X PRO The TACTACAM Reveal X PRO https://amzn.to/3TShZJz is easily the winner of this little comparison with clearly better photos, day and night, with a better than advertised triggering range. The starter plan is $5 a month (250 images) or $4.58 a month if you sign on for a year. The “Pro” plan is $13 a month (unlimited) or $120 per year. There is a small amount of savings on monthly plans if you add another camera. Regardless, running four TACTACAM Reveal X PRO units is $480 a year vs. the $719.52 mentioned above for the Bushnell Cellucore 20. Estimated battery life is 3.6 months. I ordered and installed a Tyrone rechargeable lithium power bank https://amzn.to/3PUzxDK that should bump up the battery life significantly. I'll update this review as time goes on. Finally, I ordered another TACTACAM, a TACTACAM Reveal X Gen 2.0 https://amzn.to/43PiAAk . You lose the GPS and LCD front screen, but also lose $30 of initial purchase price, but gain about twice the battery life and Wi-Fi. The TACTACAM Reveal X Gen 2.0 came in, I activated it for $4.67. Alas, no SIM card was included in the box, so the unit was returned. TACTICAM has excellent customer service and refunded the princely sum of $4.67 immediately. Another TACTACAM Reveal X Gen 2.0 is on its way, so a review of it will be added later. Sometimes, brief comparisons can be a close call. This time, it is anything but-- the Tacticam Reveal X Pro wins going away. ... show more

  • Good enough for the money
Set up: The setup wasn’t too bad as long as you follow the instructions. You have the ability to choose from Verizon or ATT. This choice doesn’t need to be made at the time of purchase as both SIM cards are in the box. You have the option to test signal on either SIM you just need to reset the camera between SIM cards. Plan: there are a few options for plans. The plans are affordable $5-$13 a month based on the number of pictures you want. You also have the option to have HD photos sent your way if you pay $5 for 50 pictures. Otherwise you can pull the SD card and get your HD photos/videos. Videos don’t get sent to you, just stored on the device, unless you pay the $5 for 50 HD videos/photos. This plan is legit and there’s aren’t hidden charges. Photos: The deer are close to 30 yards away. The camera is install at 5’ and a slight downward angle. The camera is on the highest sensitivity and set to trigger every second, no delay. It probably catches 25% of the deer that walk through. Thoughts: works for the price. You could get a reconex for $800 and get 75% of deer or you could just get more of these u it’s and place them around more spots. I feel as though these cameras are made to inform the hunter that there’s deer in the area not allow the hunter to score the buck from 50 yards. I would buy, the picture quality on the app/web is good enough to know there are deer in the area. Notes: .5 acre food plot using “Big Sexy” from Domain. Planted July 15th. Northern Wisconsin. ... show more

  • Excellent trail camera. Good for home security, too.
I have several of these cameras---both the GPS type and non-GPS. I prefer the GPS version, like these, as they are a little easier to set up with the screen display on the camera itself. Although there are a few limitations with the taking of pictures and sending via cellular, overall these cameras are a great value for the money. The picture quality delivered via cellular is a little lacking, but the pictures stored on the SD card are superb. If you are placing the camera in an area that receives a lot of activity, it will go through regular alkaline batteries quickly, especially if also taking videos or if in a cold environment. I learned that the battery pack is a better way to go. I've also paired each camera I have with the available solar panel. Reviews on it are mixed, as it needs a lot of direct sunlight remain charged. Overall, these are some really good cameras. In the off hunting season, I use them as security cameras. They work great for that as well. ... show more

  • Clear and sharp picture
These cameras take very good day and night pics. Battery life has been 6 months or more depending upon settings. Best cam on the market.

  • Overpriced Junk
This camera is terrible! Doesn’t let you live view the camera for the price, doesn’t come with an SD Card, doesn’t even support micro-sd, can only support up to 32GB. Oh also takes 12 AA Batteries that don’t come included. Everything is extra like a solar panel they want $60 for, the battery pack if you want it for bigger battery life is $60. At the end it turns into an almost $400 setup for a camera that can’t even support live view, takes like 2 minutes to receive photos if requested from the camera. It’s just so not practical, they make cctv solar panel dome cameras that are 1/4 the price of this that preform better lol. This thing is outdated! The subscription is a scam, $13 up front then $9 hidden if you really want HD anything so $22/ month absurd. The SIM card is the old pre-2000’s Nokia phone type. Like seriously lol, overpriced outdated and cheap, I for sure don’t recommend this product. Returning tomorrow less than 24hrs with it.. ... show more
