I needed this for a diorama that I am working on. It worked exactly as promised. I really appreciated how much material these shakers hold (along with the convenience of having a shaker). I think they provide a great value for the money. It worked well with my adhesives and looked great in the diorama. I do recommend using a very small spoon or similar tool when working in tight corners. The material is the consistancy of sand and will get all over the place if you try to use the shaker in small areas. My daughter also used it to add dimension to a birthday card that she was making for a friend. It looked pretty cool when she was done. My Grandson and his Papa are together building a HO scale train layout, I will add that our grandson is four and we wanted him to do as much of it a possible himself with our supervision of course but we wanted it to be kid easy. This Turf in the shaker was perfect, my husband helped him with the adhesive and he sprinkled away, the product stuck well to the water based glue, has a soft spongy texture and looks very real, our grandson got a little heavy handed with the sprinkling but after it dried we just sucked up the extra with the dust buster. I used this blended turf to make the pathway in the Santa Cruz California Mission garden, and also placed some around the trees for a more realistic look. The end results were very nice. I use this for basing miniatures. Looks great and was a great value when I bought it. Holds on well with pva, and tolerates varnish, so I can fully base and then varnish.

This is one of my favorite blends to use when I'm making gaming terrain. I've gone through a couple bottles already, which is hard to do as they send you plenty of product.     • Sheer and thick are not words I would use to describe this, and that is good
It is very small, which is good, because it looks like grass at a very small scale. I thought "thickness" to be a very odd word to use as a quality indicator. It is also not very sheer, but that is also good. I put down a thick layer of PVA glue and this stuck to it. Looks good on my terrain.

This stuff is awesome! This look beautiful and incredibly realistic. Will work for any terrain. I'm using for my holiday village countryside terrain. It has hills, rock and water for the wildlife. The shaker is nice to use as well, but you can also use salt/pepper shaker if you don't like using the larger shaker. Definitely recommend for anyone building terrain! ... show more
