I ride my mountain bike 5 to 6 times per week, so I have given this mount kit some use before reviewing. I’ve been using it for a little over a week now and am very happy with it. Installation was easy. I chose to attach to the wall studs as I do not believe it would stand up to much use if installed in drywall (my mountain bike weighs around 30lbs or so, I believe). Once installed in a stud, it is very solid. - Packaged well and arrived quick. - Comes with good hardware, everything needed was in the box. - 2.3 inch wide MTB tire fits. - The lower piece works well to keep tire marks off the wall. - Lower piece holds rear tire well when you need to swivel the bike around or lay it up closer to the wall. - The black bolt head covers are a nice touch, makes for a clean and tasteful installation. - Rubberized hook is nice and seems durable. This mount is sturdy, with quality materials. Ease of installation is dependent on your own DIY ability. The instructions are pretty clear with good diagrams. Note that this should be secured into a stud to prevent the weight of your bike pulling it out of the wall as you swivel it to save space. I mounted mine so that the rear wheel remained on the ground and was not suspended. The hook to hold the wheel is covered in plastic and won't scratch your rims (mine are carbon, with 44mm tires on a gravel bike). ... show more

This bike storage rack is made of a combination of heavy gauge steel and plastic, and it was easy to install. I like that it lets the bike swivel out of the way. It's pretty easy to use, just lift the bike up and hook the wheel, let the back tire rest against the lower stop. I prefer this type of storage to the horizontal ones, as if you have more than one bike it's easier to stow and retrieve when they're vertical. ... show more

This back rack for the garage appears to be made nicely with quality materials. I am anxious to get it mounted so my bike will be up off of the floor. I think it will be durable and I love that it swings so the bike takes up less space once on the wall. I just need to find a handyman to install it into a support stud (I am a senior who cannot do it myself but most others could). This is a wonderful way to hang the bike without it taking up a lot of space. I had no idea such a thing even existed. And it's nice that there are actually instructions for mounting it ... and in type large enough to read!!! ... show more

For me, storing bikes vertically in the wall of my garage is the best solution. This rack is super easy to install, has a nice rubber protective sleeve over the hook and swivels nicely so the bike doesn’t jut out too far from the wall.
