Bought a new mtn bike in the pandemic. Nice bike, but the stock grips were tough on the hands. Bought a version of these extended grips for my road bike (you installed under the tape and rewrap) and it made a great difference. So, i found these online after my last mtn bike ride. Install took a few minutes really. I just cut off the old grips,Unscrewed shifter, brake levers etc and slid them up on handlebar, then slip on new grip, set it, tighten it and push everything else back in place, adjusted them to my liking, and off i went. I’m male, almost 68, and in pretty good shape for my age. I’ve been doing lots of hiking on some local trails, and it was getting to my feet, so, I bought a nice mtn bike! Love the bike, but after just 2.5 miles on it my hands were aching like crazy, so I bought these, moved my saddle aft all the way, and did another similar ride. These are awesome! Just make sure to read about the different sizes and combination of styles, i.e. Sm. or Lg. and also 2 full grips, 1 Half and 1 Full grips, or 2 Half grips, depending on what type of shifters you have. I mob a 29"er single speed, so went with 2 Full Grips. Couldn't be happier. They are super comfortable and supportive. No more numb hands. The RubberSpongyCorkaDoodleDo Stuff is awesome. Feels good in palm and is sturdy as well. Just use Windex to slide them on easy and align lockers where you want them and tighten until sturdy. Do Not Over Tighten. It's aluminum so slowly tighten until snug and you will not have a problem. I ride hard and they have taken the abuse well! ... show more

Purchased several sets of grips over the last 2 years. The best ones had little "horns," which over time injured the bone in my pinky (and was being pushed against the "horn"). Decided to try these. The fit for the palm is good and the cork is attractive and comfortable. When I experience fatigue, I move my hands outward, essentially resting my thumbs on the outer part of the grip. Replaced stock grips on my budget mountain bike with these after much researching about reducing tingling and numbness in my fingers halfway through my rides (depending on route, 9-15 miles). These are so much better than the bikes stock grips. I have larger hands and these provide a lot more surface to grip and they spread the pressure out over my whole palm instead of focusing it all in the middle like regular grips. Three rides and 2 adjustments later and the numbness and tingling is almost entirely gone. Their shape gives me a good variety of hand positioning options also. ... show more
