I bought this while waiting for the optic to arrive, but when I got the optic, I really don’t feel this is necessary? The optic feels very solid and I have beat on it pretty good. It does add some width and height, which I’m not a fan of when trying to have the smallest optic. But I suppose it would make it “bulletproof” ... show more

I bought this and installed it with my Liberty green dot. The fit and finish are really good overall. My one minor complaint is that it's got a small gap all around, but it's also not a very big gap, so I can't really say if it is a flaw or intentionally designed this way. The contour matches the shape of the sight perfectly, and protrudes forward a little bit to help protect the lens from the front. There are no sharp corners or anything that causes a snag on my clothing when I carry at the 4 O'clock position, so that's a plus. If I had one complaint/opinion, I think the price is a tad on the high side for what it is, especially considering it's not the most perfect fit ever. That said, it's good insurance to protect the much more expensive optic, so I can overlook that one minor thing that may be an intentional design element.. ... show more
