  • Cheap, did the job well
Color: Single - Green
Went on a recent backpacking trip through some Indiana state parks this past weekend. Used this small tent due to the weight and size being exactly what I wanted, but with the cheaper price tag. Not saying this will be on same level as other higher end tents that cost 10x the price, but it did remarkably well. The tent was easy enough to set up, the poles got caught a little going through the sleeves on the side of the tent. I was careful due to quality of tent, so nothing ripped. Did what it was supposed to do. It was small, lightweight, set up easily. I do wish I got the option that had two doors on each side to allow for ventilation, because it was a hotter night. But, on the opposite side of that, this tent seems too thin to use much in the winter. I would say this is strictly a spring, summer, and maybe fall tent. I will continue to recommend this tent for single backpackers or for those who just want a small tent for camping or moto camping. For as low as $27, it’s hard to pass up. Easy buy and will go this route again when / if this one starts to break down or rip. Easy to buy one of these every other year since I don’t backpack that often. ... show more

  • Fantastic ultra light tent for the money
Color: Single
Great tent for bikepacking; weighs a touch over 2 lbs, compacts nicely into a 16 x 4 inch packet that you can fasten to the handlebars of the road bike shown, or to any rear rack. Unlike other reviewers, I found no flaws in the manufacturing. I'm about 6 ft tall and I can easily lay down inside to sleep. Remember, you probably sleep curled up a little, so the length of floor space is not as much as you might think. The door has a nice zippered bug screen and another zippered door on the outside. Very nice if you are biking or backpacking with this and want a nice spot to sleep or take a nap in. This tent is very easy to setup; just watch the video they provide on the product link (the manual is a bit confusing) The tent is water resistant, but not waterproof. Very few tents like this are "waterproof", so it's a rediculous standard to expect that, esp. for under 30.00 dollars ! Normally, you would avoid a downpour in a tent anyway (or use a seperate tarp), but you could buy seam sealer (readily available on Amazon) to seal the seams. One negative I find with this tent is I would prefer a plain green, brown, or black color. The camo color they provide actually stands out. Another concern is the warning in the manual that the tent is flammable. My question; how flammable ? ... show more

  • why
Color: Single - Khaki
this was so close to a good tent why use injection moulded plastic bits on each corner? for what purpose, just make the nylon strap a wee bit longer and slap a steel grommet in there the pole end fits in, ITS CHEAPER EVEN WHY. and if you're going to use cheap crap poles, dont use a sleeve tube design because it takes way too long to stuff all of the pole through with the weak elastic and the metal couplers catching constantly. I only set it up to make sure it was good before a trip but I think im going to just use the nylon hooks meant for the rain fly to support the tent with the poles. I feel like one more nylon strap and it would work perfectly. Also the door opening down into the dirt is bruh for a $29 tent taxed and shipped its pretty light and compact, the oneish piece design WOULD make it easy to set up and take down with some aluminum poles. everything seems double stitched and will hold up to at least 10 uses in 0km/h winds edit: After setting it up a second time, I put the poles only through the black nylon straps and it worked perfectly. It made set up a lot easier, but it's a lot less strong in wind gusts this way. For the price it's a pretty solid dry weather backpacking tent as long as there's no wind so you can use the straps. It gets pretty hot inside but is what it is for weight and privacy. ... show more

  • piece of junk!
Color: Semi-Double
This thing is a piece of junk, I put it together and while putting it together the fabric ripped when i was trying to put on of the posts into the hole. By the time I had it all together there was 3 or 4 rips in the fabric one was a pretty big hole. I wanted to return it but was in mexico at the time and just put it in the trash instead. Dont waste your money. ... show more

  • leaks
Color: Single
Have sprayed it at least twice with silicon and it seems to have worked. Also bought a seam sealer. It's okay. Inexpensive. One of the poles broke after a couple of weeks. But I guess I can order new ones. Ehhh....

  • Not worth the money… even at the low price point
Color: Semi-Double
Preface this with I got this tent to take my dog camping so I could see how she would behave. I got this tent so that if she tore it up, I wouldn’t be out a lot of money on the tent. I will start with good. It is easy to set up, two crossing poles, pegs, lines in the corners and a fly that covers the top. The camouflage pattern, in a crowded campground actually made it stand out. I liked the camp pattern even though I just got it for car camping. For a single person, it is roomy enough for a person and gear In my case there was plenty of room for me and my dog. Now the bad. The stakes are flimsy. If you use this tent, I suggest upgrading the tent stakes. The second stake snapped the plastic on the corner. I didn’t realize it had also cracked where the pole attaches. That may render this tent a one use only tent. The vent at the top is vestigial at best. It did nothing to regulate humidity , and the inside of the tent was covered in condensation. This led to everything being wet when I woke up. Sleeping pad, sleeping bag, woobie, dog blanket, my jacket, everything soaked. It made for a very unpleasant morning, and led to me not being able to pack up my campsite properly as everything was too wet to put into its stuff sacks. ... show more

  • Funny lil thang
Color: Single
This thing is small but did its job, camped in high winds (45-50mph gusts) and it held fine. Super easy setup, very taught and solid structure. Zipper was smooth and easy - had a net too for door which was a nice touch. It is small though, I’m 6’1” and my head and feet were crammed fully extended. Other than that it’s flipping awesome. ... show more
