It inflated well, and it's soft enough to not bother her in any way. She sort of uses it as a pillow and doesn't attempt to remove it at all. My old lady is 15 and has a mass growing on her inner leg which she wouldn't stop licking. Now that she is on medications and a prescribed ointment, she cannot lick it at all. Our doggo recently got neutered and he kept running into the backs of our legs and everything else imaginable with his cone. The vet said he needed to be in the cone for 14 days so this seemed like a much better option. Until I realized how far back to squeeze the tube, I had a heck of a time inflating it but once I got that part figured out it was easy. When the split part is down by his chin he can squeeze his neck down into it and reach his thighs to lick his incision so we just have to make sure the split stays at the back of his head. He seems a lot happier and a lot more comfortable with the donut than the cone. It is certainly cuter to look at and easier on us. ... show more

My 9 month old mini schnauzer was recently spayed and I bought this donut as an alternative to the plastic cone from the vet. I’m so glad I did! It doesn’t seem to bother her at all, she can comfortably sleep, eat and play with it on. And it looks cute too! I followed the size chart after measuring her neck and it fits her well. We didn’t put her collar through the loops the first night and she was able to get it off, but since using it with her collar she isn’t able to get out of it. Highly recommend! ... show more

Best used with supervision or a secondarycollar to anchor. We were looking for something that could fit in the crate while we were out after our Cane Corso had knee surgery. My dog is a miniature poodle and this fits well. She doesn't like it but it's comfortable enough like her heads laying on a pillow. She hasn't been able to reach her incision with it either which is it's purpose. I would recommend.

Great product! My puggle did not approve, but she likes to sniff butts, so what does she know!? Had to get one because of a neck surgery. No matter how much blood came from her scratching, she would not stop! Not until i put the donut on. She absolutely hated it and tried to take it off but she finally relented.
