I hate the cone. So does my dog. Which is what makes this cone so great. It's so easy to take off and put on. By far the easiest one we've ever used. And it's thicker material, so it's taken a lot of abuse from my dog and still functions well.

This is so much easier than the hard e-collar my dog came home with after surgery. The Velcro makes it easy to adjust and take on/off as my dog will not eat when wearing it. The soft edges are much better than the hard plastic, especially when she bumps into us. The adjustable neck strap gives you the perfect fit to keep this collar on and is easy to use. I like the cone. Seems to be good quality. I especially like the velcro feature, it makes it easy to get on and off. However, they sent the wrong size. I ordered an XXL for my 128 lb dog, and they sent a large. I really needed the cone now, so I didn't send it back. Sturdy. Very sticky velcro. Neck measurement was 16 so I ordered a size large. However I should have ordered a medium because the length is too long for my dog to drink or eat. If you have a shorter snout dog (ex: pug, pittbull, boxer etc, order the smallest size that would fit into the dogs neck measurement so the cone isnt too long) Since the length is too long and the plastic material is on the heavier side, the cone was very floppy even though it fit appropriately around his neck. I had to cut the length so he could eat and drink and sniff outside while waiting on another brand of cone with a shorter length which made sharp edges so I had to constantly monitor my other dog around it. ... show more

We have a large German Shepherd mix. He recently had a growth removed from his paw and was able to get to the stitches easily. We tried the cone from the vet and he could still reach it, tried wrapping it and taping socks over it and he was still able to get to it. This cone is large and sturdy and the Velcro is rock solid. He is finally able to heal and not have access to the wound. So if you need a cone that is large enough and strong enough, this is the perfect purchase. Very happy with it. ... show more

A Zero star rating would be more accurate for our experience. We purchased this cone to prevent our senior dog from licking a wound. I measured his neck, and ordered the appropriate size, L. The box was smashed up on arrival. The cone was not damaged. The cone was too small by an inch. The cone is also heavy. Our dog weighs 100 pounds. The product looks sturdy, but as a result it is very heavy. I am not sure if there is a cone on the market that can help him. Save your money and purchase a different product. ... show more

I wanted to get this because my pup started to lick so much that she was started to get raw on her belly near her naughty bits and I thought this would help aid in her recovery so she could heal. Well that lasted about 24-48 hrs she was able to figure out how to bypass the cone and continue to lick. She was able to move the cone around so she could rip off the velcro. However, my little princess is part-time demon so it could be because my dog. Nevertheless, while the cone was doing its job for those first two days, it was comfortable and allowed for my pup to be able to move around easily and not feel confined. I would say this is probably better for a more chill dog and not the hyper kind of pup that I have. Also I have to say the cone is also super cute in person! ... show more
