I recently bought new skates that had a more neutral pitch than I was used to, and I was having a difficult time adapting - I felt like I was skating back on my heels and had a very hard time finding my edges. I was about to go through the rigamarole of getting my blades profiled when I read that Superfeet added some forward pitch by raising your heel slightly, so I popped a pair in: problem solved! Still hurt the hell out of my arches. I'm a medium arch. Here's a tip for people who suffer with severe arch pain in hockey skates. Put plantar fasciitis heel sponge underneath foot bed of stock insoles. This raises your heel enough to get your arch out of compression. That enabled me to wear socks with my skates. ... show more

Gives you a solid base so there is more contact of your foot with your boot. Slight heel elevation takes a few shifts to get used to. Overall I feel I’m skating a bit faster with the same effort. I did not think there would be a difference in skating performance just by inserting some plastic and foam into my boot but there really is. Ordered the 7-8 for my CCM size 8.0. My street shoe size is 10-11. Out of the box, on the floor these seemed too short based on where my arch is but it was correct once the insoles were in the skate.     • Makes aggressive skating more comfortable

Adds that much needed support to my high arches in a sport where most skates are flat inside. This is very much need as it eliminates arch pain and provide better positioning for my knees as a result. This has allowed my sessions to last longer as since my arches are support properly, my knees tend to stay inline with my leg and not bend inwards. This is very important to avoid injury and greatly reduce chronic knee issues. I believe adding these inserts to your skates is probably these best thing you can do, if you want to skate for years. I have found the support to be very stiff and does not flex much, so if you have a low and possibly medium arch, these may be uncomfortable for you. If these are too uncomfortable, then the CCM OrthoMove might work better for you, but YMMV. I am very happy with these inserts and will be my go to for all of my skates for the rest of my "career." ... show more

I don't leave reviews on stuff, but these are so amazing they warrant it. I had skated in my new (to me) pro stock Bauer 1S skates. My feet hurt so badly in my first game, that I didn't think I could play the whole game. I had the older superfeet yellow in my other skates, so I decided to order new ones for my new skates. I skated for an hour and a half yesterday and could have skated another hour and a half. The only thing I changed was the insoles. If your feet hurt in your skates... do yourself a favor and try these. ... show more

I have been using superfeet for skates for about 20 years. I first tried them because I had switched from quads to inline skates like rollerblades. The insole was typical in that it had no support at all and after a couple months with seemingly no problems my heels started to feel so bruised as though they had been hammered. They felt this way for weeks before I added these skate insoles and once the heel pain ended I never had pain in my feet again even after hours of skating! No one should skate without these. This review is for the figure skaters who may be considering these inserts. I wear custom Harlicks which fit perfectly for my feet. However, I've lost some weight, and due to overuse, I've started to have strange metatarsal pain. I also have a low (but not flat) arch. I ordered a pair of these, and while it took one session to get used to, gone are the odd arch pains of trying to control a boot that are a little loose for me (now), and the metatarsal pain. I thought I would have to get another pair of Harlicks soon, but these insoles have given my boots new life. Not to mention, they're the suggested insole for Harlicks, and have been used by skaters who wear Avanta, Jackson, GAM, and Graf! ... show more

    • Great add to the Bauer heel lock system if you like that nice tight fit without cutting off circulation.

My Bauers are 5 years old and these bottoms helped my fit become what I always hoped it would be. The added bump in the heel adds to the Bauer heel lock system. I also added the toe top cushion for a tighter fit. WOW! I will caution you not to over tighten your laces near the top or this bump in height may induce lace bite. I've found I had to keep the lacing a bit more loose, but that works great! ... show more
