  • Great Stuff!
Worked and cured well - watch a few project videos first, and you'll be pouring resin like a pro in no time. Very low VOC - can be used indoors without mask as a result, which is HUGE! Make sure your pouring surface and work area is at least 65 degrees F for best results... and keep a hand torch ready, as just a quick pass of the Bernzomatic open flame will remove troublesome and unsightly "bubbles" that form during the early curing phase (before the epoxy sets). Took the dyes flawlessly, I had light gray base with blue and moss green details for walls, snow white for the ceiling (it was a multi-color, multi layer, multi piece custom bath enclosure) - sorry for the blurry image. Project came out looking great, the edges sealed perfectly with silicone, custom fit shower enclosure is 100% waterproof. Beware "buggy" grades of plywood as pouring substrate: I used a construction-grade 1/2 plywood as my flat base - and though nothing of it, as a good strong substrate. But if you use plywood as a base, especially construction grade, be careful as many commercial grade plywoods can have small "bugs" living just below the surface! I was unaware of this, and when my first coat of epoxy went on, I had to spend several minutes and intervals during curing picking "bugs" (small, gnat-like critters) which migrated out from the sub-layers of the plywood. At first i though I had a hole in my window screen, but no, they were coming from inside the plywood, and migrating INTO my lovely epoxy resin! Honestly I have run into this issue before, when 1st-coat painting fresh plywood projects - so it was more of a distraction, and actually did not harm the wood, the piece, or the project. It was just annoying, picking gnats out of setting epoxy... had I used particle board or another substrate, I would not have had this issue, so "my bad" but no harm done. I will definitely purchase this epoxy again: And excellent product, handles and performs very well, easy to use and "master"... looking forward to my next epoxy project! ... show more

  • Clear, clean tabletop finish
This is a reliable tabletop epoxy. It has a beautiful clear, hard, glossy finish. It's easy to keep bubble free. The viscosity makes it easy to pour. I usually allow more than 24 hours to fully cure, although the producers report this as a 24-hour cure time. Once I find a product that has the finish I like, I keep using it. This is an epoxy that I will continue using. I have no complaints. ... show more

  • Easy to mix, hardens without being sticky. Had to torch the bubbles every pour
The cost of this resin was very good for 1 gallon. It mixes easily at a ratio of 1:1 by volume or 1:.83 by weight (my preferred method). It requires a 3 minute stir/mix time in the usual manner for mixing resin (scrape sides and bottom frequently). Recommended thickness per pour is 1/4 inch or less. Temperature and humidity recommendations are given in the instructions which are well detailed. I've had to torch the resin after every single pour because of the excessive bubbles but after lightly torching for bubbles, the resin is clear and hardened within 12-24 hours with no stickiness on any of my finished casting projects. I would buy this resin again because of the low price and it works well but plan to have the torch handy. ... show more

  • Just wow
It's hard to find a product that lives up to its marketing but jeez I'm impressed they were spot on with how clear and easy to use this stuff was. I'm a novice officially this was my first time pouring epoxy over charcuterie boards and it is fantastic I'll be buying somuchmore of this epoxy to make several other projects. Be mindful though if you don't follow the instructions and mix for a minimum of 3 minutes and don't go behind and use a heat source to pop the bubbles an hour or so into curing them of course your results will vary. Epoxy work is all about mothering the project for lack of better way to explain it. At least thats what my experience so far is showing me ... show more

  • So far one of my favorite resins!
I use Superclear a lot now, primarily for coasters and trays. Pros: Consistency: when mixed I would say this falls into the medium viscosity category (matter of opinion based on visual comparisons, not a technical feature - or maybe it is I’m not sure what the viscosity actually is). It’s very similar to MAS table top. Bubbles: as with any and ALL resins…there are bubbles. If anyone says any resin doesn’t have bubbles…they’re covering them with mica or using a pressure pot/vacuum chamber. But this is far superior to more expensive resins like Counter Culture DIY. Clarity: totally clear. Cure time: possibly why I like it most…you can demold a solid piece after about 5 hours with no worries. And it fully cures HARD before 24 hours. It’s not quite as hard as Alumilite (which I generally done everything with) after 24 hours, but it’s not pliable like MAS. Being able to demold products in 5 hours and add layers within an hour or 2 is my favorite part. Patience is not my best virtue. CONS… Curing fast is great but it decreases your work time…I’d say you have about 40 minutes to get your piece made before it’s going to start becoming difficult to work with. Not a great resin if you’re doing multiple pieces with fine details that that a while - work in small batches. ... show more

  • Mixed review
Other resins I have tried seem to be better for me. It may be user error but the resin seems to get dull the more you mix it. I used a hand popsicle stick method and 20 to 30 seconds into the mixing it gets dull and stays dull. After 2 minutes and tired arms I had dull epoxy with many bubbles.
