  • Treated it badly and it's still very useful
I've lost track of all the ways I've used this tarp. I got it for camping initially, but used it for lots of things. What's consistent in my use is I didn't try to care for this tarp to prevent it from getting punctured. I'm not saying I was completely careless, but I left it out in the sun much longer than I intended and other things like that. I was surprised that it continues to hold up despite how much I do with it. At the time of purchase it was basically $19, which is more than I wanted to pay, but I don't regret it in hindsight. I thing my kids have invented more uses for this than I would have imagined. In that way I would recommend this over any electronic gadget, coupled with a shovel and a bucket. Great tool that turned out to provide a lot of play. ... show more

  • Very heavy, very thick high quality tarp
This is my second tarp by this company. They are so thick, they don't seem to wear out. I bought this to drag supplies around the yard with a riding mower. Easier and more spacious than a small, wheeled utility cart. I tried dragging 4 bags of topsoil and various tools around with a light tarp. Within two feet of movement, the grommets pulled right out of the tarp. Had to twist the damaged corners and re-tie to them to continue on. Won't make the same mistake with this new tarp. I fashion some sort of reinforcements for the corners. I think the ideal solution for this problem would be to sew, or in some other way attach two 3 foot, 1000 lb or heavier tow straps along the each long side and ending at the same short side, with rings at the end of each tow strap. It would be SOOOOO nice if the mfgr's would create such a product for an extra ten dollars because they know how to attach the straps without weakening the product. Guaranteed I'd buy one. ... show more

  • Best heavy duty tarps I've found - long lasting & tough
Second one of these tarps I've purchased, & very happy with them. The first (a 6' x 8'), has covered a wood pile (with rocks on it to hold it down) for 2 full winters, and it still has no holes in it. I just put it out for it's 3rd winter. You get what you pay for - If you need a tarp that's going to last, & can handle some rough treatment, it is well worth the cost. ... show more

  • THICK
So far I have had this tarp up only a couple of days. Definitely blocks the shade as it should. The thickness is really impressive. As for my assumptions of the durability, I think it may not be exactly as sturdy as you would think but I dont know yet! That's just my instant assumption. It's thick and sturdy feeling! But time will tell. Also! I did notice a seam in it at about 6ft wide running all the way down. Seems to be solid so I don't think it will start separating. Once again, instant thoughts when opening- Thickness is awesome! And in Texas the sun wins a lot of battles and not sure this tarp will win eventually but still finding that out later ... show more

  • Fantastic quality for a very low price
Fantastic quality for a very low price. I seriously doubt that you could go into the Lowes or Home Depot and get anything close to this quality at the price point here on Amazon. Note that on the 8x10 tarp I received the grommets on the sides were a little off. One was partially over the edge and placement is not systematically the same - they are likely hand placed and not accurately measured. Also, the grommets on one side of the tarp did not match the placement on the other side of the tarp. If you need symmetry to your grommet placement for whatever reason you may be disappointed. But if placement doesn't really matter then you will be fine. This is a pretty stiff tarp due to the thickness of the material. There is a small cord on the edge that gives it extra strength too. ... show more

  • Thick Heavy Duty Best Tarp Ever!
Best heavy duty tarp ever! I bought several long ones to attach to my 6 ft. high chain link fence so my dogs and the neighbors dogs could not see each other. That really solved the barking and attempted attacks keeping my dogs safe. Tarps were in the snow, sun and rain for over a year and look like new. I just took them down as my neighbor put up a tall wood fence. These are not the cheap flimsy ones you get at your local big box store. Wish it came in green could use a few smaller ones. If you want a thick heavy duty tarp that you wont have to throw out the next season, this one is the best you can buy! ... show more

  • Nice thick pieces
Needed to have stand up to Colorado wind. Seems like they will be fine as long as you get them anchored down well .

  • Roof of our chicken run
We use this tarp as the roof of our chicken run and I am solidly impressed. We do screw it down with plumbers tape so we have never had it rip in the wind. The first one lasted 2 years in direct sun light. Eventually it began to get thin from the sun and rubbed holes through across the 2x2 that is the peak of the roof. I was so impressed with how long it lasted we immediately bought another one and we are probably a year in and it still looks new. ... show more
