The complete kit was fantastic. SUNSUL Portable 60 Watt 12V Foldable Solar Panels came with everything except the 12v. generator or a 12v.storage unit to utilize the sun power that is being generated. I have a small bank of 12v. gel cell batteries that are hooked together in parallel, and during times of power outages I can use a 12v. car adaptor for charging phones, tablets and even laptops. The solar panels are easily deployed and oriented for max sun, and for storage it simple and compact. I can't see one backpacking with these, but I could see you using them for camping and even using them to keep a car or tractor batteries charged up. This is a nice item. ... show more

I picked this solar panel kit because of the folding panel and stands to keep it pointing at the sun when I use the kit to charge batteries and power stations. I bought two 8 ft. long- extra- solar connector cables to attach to the panels and used one to hook to a battery-charge controller with a longer wire that has alligator clips on the ends to charge 12-volt batteries in vehicles and heavy equipment- in remote areas. The included connector / adaptors fit all 9 of my portable power bank stations perfectly and my charging of construction equipment batteries required the extra adaptors and longer cables -that also works very good with this 60-Watt panel. So far really liking this solar panel. The 60W version is a very manageable size which makes portability simple. It has kickstands mounted to the back that velcro to the panel when not in use which are great if you don't have anything to lean it on. It comes with a long cord so you don't have to have it right next to your battery which is really convenient. And there are tons of adapters that come with it, so it will connect to most anything. The only thing it's lacking that I wish it had is a USB port so you could use it to charge a phone, laptop or other devices that charge that way. I was able to get 47 watts from it on a sunny January day. But expect to get closer to the full 60W capability in summer months since the sun is at such a low angle in the sky at this time of year where I live. Seems to be well made with quality materials.
