  • Still pedalin' six months later
I am an exerciser. Like, a "get up and at 'em at 4am" kind of exerciser. Because people can get the wrong idea if I'm out walking our road that early (not to mention the fact that people drive like idiots around here, and dodging speeding cars isn't the kind of exercise I'm looking for), I bought this little pink exercise bike back in February 2016. Six months later, I can't imagine how I lived without it. It comes in pieces in a box weighing 30-or-so pounds, but don't let that scare you. I was able to assemble it with the included tools in about 35-40 minutes, and I only said a bad word once or twice during the whole process. Once you're done with that, it's ready to go. It's quiet, so I've never had any issue with waking the other members of my household at the ungodly hour at which I use it. In six months time, I haven't had any issue with any of the bolts/nuts/screws walking loose, although I do a weekly check to make sure that everything is still holding where it should be. That's saying a lot for this bike, since it's been used almost every single day since it arrived. Granted, it's not super-duper gym quality, but it's still pretty darn good. Now, I will agree with what some of the other reviewers have noted about size issues. I'm 5'7" and wear a ladies small, so I have no problems with the height of the seat, *but*...I do have it in the lowest setting, so I can easily see how someone more petite in height could be left struggling. Also, I have some clearance on either side between my hips and the side handle bars, but not a huge lot, so please do take this into consideration if you think this feature could cause problems for you. You can always leave them off, because it wouldn't affect the function of this bike one bit, and you will still be able to pedal to your heart's content. Although some reviewers aren't happy with the magnetic tension levels on this bike, I'm content with them. Please note, though, that after about level 3 (on mine, at least), the difficulty level pretty much stays relatively the same. If you're a beginner, you will most likely have all the challenge you need. I like to stair-step my way through the levels every few minutes or so while I'm exercising just to break up the monotony of pedaling and not going anywhere, so I have no complaints about that aspect of the bike. The only thing about this bike that I would change is the seat. After several minutes, it starts to wear on my fanny, but it's bearable. For all the other great things about this bike, I'll live with it...and hopefully finally remember to invest in a cushioned seat cover. For me, this bike has been an unbelievably great investment, especially for the price. I can exercise in the privacy of my own home while I read or binge on Amazon Video, and when I'm done, I fold it up and stick it in the corner until the next time. It has held together magnificently with very repeated use, and I believe that it will continue to serve me well for quite a while into the future. ... show more

  • Assembly nightmare
Style: Interactive
The media could not be loaded. If I could give this a zero star, I would… I purchased the sister elliptical to this one and had the same issue I’m having with this one. I had to get a refund for it because it was defective just like this one. Btw- don’t throw out your box, they will want you to ship this thing back and getting a box big enough for it can be challenging. Otherwise you will not get your money back. I had a huge ordeal with Amazon customer service over this issue. And trust me, you’ll most likely be shipping it back... So anyways, I purchased this one in hopes that it would be a little better for assembly. The bolts to the pedals are not threading up and if they do, they get jammed, so much so that you can’t get it to thread through all the way to be able to place the nut on it to secure it. It’s frustrating because I was finally able to get everything else on there except for that bolt and the plastic pedal piece due to this issue. I can’t use this product until I can assemble it fully. It’s really frustrating and annoying that this has now happened twice with the same piece. **Also- when I purchased the first one, I learned first hand that if the manufacturer issues you a replacement piece, that you might as well get your certificate as a mechanic because you will then need to fully dismantle the entire inside of the elliptical to replace the defective piece, which in my case, it was the crank arms for the pedals. They expect you to remove the old crank arm from inside and replace it. Right down to the barrings. Which btw, also were busted on the first one. There is a belt so tight that wraps around the crank arm and another mechanism that is so ungodly tight that you will spend a good amount of time trying to get off. It’s nearly impossible to place back on. It didn’t make sense to me why they didn’t just ship a whole new main frame piece with a new crank arm. Instead I almost broke my hand on the belt and couldn’t even replace the crank due to the busted barrings. The manufacturer did help as much as they could. They were actually the reason why I received my refund. Amazon on the other hand made it so difficult. This product is just a hassle and not able to be used. ... show more

  • I'm 5'1" tall, 60's, and this is fine...
I'm a petite height, female, at 5'1" tall, 135 lbs. and this is fine even with flipflops on, I can't put sneakers on to pedal, my feet are swollen from a fall. I'm in my 60's, went down a flight of stairs (not my fault) and am rehabilitating from a snapped right ankle, sprained left foot, fractured hip and two herniated discs. Rehab was closed for months during virus lockdown. I slowly used a bike in rehab prior, so got my own. I slowly pedal daily for a half hour, front ways and backwards. I like to pedal backwards for some reason. If I can do this daily with the pain my body is in, anyone can! Easy to assemble, email customer service if you need help or a part and they are great, respond by the next day. I did not put the pedal covers on having swollen feet and did not like the feel of the seat back, applied it, tried it and it was not comfortable, I took it off, am fine without it for me. The seat itself is hard but I imagine all seats are. Dislike the pink, wish they had it in black but liked the price so I bought it and got some non toxic, latex shiny hobby paint and brush painted the ugly pink a charcoal gray. l let one coat dry and applied a second coat, looks like it came this way. Brush painted a couple paint coats on the bike's pink counter checker too. The bike is a bit high for me to climb on, but I manage, once I'm sitting it's just fine, knees bent, my legs are not reaching for the pedals, it's fine for a 5'1" tall person. The tension works good, turned the knob tried it out, but for my body right now, the #2 is fine for me. ... show more
