I bought this because it was a little taller than some of the other options available and I wanted it to go directly over a sectional corner where the tallest member of the family sits. Lamp was easy to put together. The remote offers a surprising number of features for lighting options. It’s quite nice—for instance there is a book-reading mode and a baby-feeding mode. The light dims to an appropriate level for such activities. You can also control the light “temperature.” The magnetic remote is quite nice if you want to keep it on the lamp pole. I can’t speak to the longevity since I’ve only had it about two weeks, but I would recommend this, especially at the price point. ... show more

Couple weeks ago, I awoke in the morning to find my living room lamp on. I turned off the lamp with the remote. Attempted to turn on the lamp with the remote and the lightbulb started flickering. The remote was unable to turn off the lamp so had to use the foot switch. My son determined that the bulb was faulty since I had recently replaced the remote’s batteries. We also tested with an extra standard incandescent bulb we had on hand and the lamp worked fine. I emailed customer support that day and they responded the very next business day. They were very responsive throughout this situation and they made things right by sending a replacement bulb and remote. I received the replacement parts within several days of them informing me that they had shipped the package and they even followed up later to confirm the new remote/bulb were working satisfactorily, which they are. The lamp design itself is simple and contemporary which I really like. However I didn’t know when I ordered the lamp that the bulb and remote were paired, not until we tested the old remote on the new bulb. Price point was good (discounted) and I like having the ability to finely adjust the brightness and color temperature. If either bulb/remote stops performing, there are other smart bulb options on the market. In summary, lamp design is great, remote control to change brightness and color temperature are a plus, and customer service was impressive. ... show more

The floor lamp has a great height (over 6ft high), sturdy base, and overall emitted a decent amount of light. I initially set it up temporarily in the center of a living room wall. More light was able to reflect off of the wall to the ceiling to fill majority of the room with light. When I moved it to the permanent position where it would be positioned, there was significantly less light that fill the entire living room. I tried adjusting the lamp shade and put it in the direction of the ceiling, but it did not make a significant difference in the amount of brightness that it emitted. This floor lamp would be suitable for you if you intend to use it for a focus area overhead light such as a corner area of an office, or for a reading lamp. The floor lamp came with a bulb and also a remote control which is operative with included batteries. It was an easy set up to pair the remote control to the lamp. The remote has buttons that allow you to adjust the brightness and you can even set a timer for how long you want the light to stay on. In addition, the floor lamp also had another convenient feature which was the foot pedestal. I thought it was very convenient when coming back home to all of the lights off and being able to step on the foot pedestal. Despite the lamp not providing the amount of light that I am seeking to fill my living room, overall, I would still recommend this floor clamp because it is a great value for the price, has two extra convenient features, has good quality strong and sturdy materials, and it is great for an area lamp. ... show more

I did a ton of research on these ARC lamps and this is the one I went for based on other reviews and it happened to go on a good sale! I love the height and the width of the Arc on this lamp. It is so perfect. I have two kinds of light that I like, bright as heck and dim as all heck. This has the perfect dim and the perfect brightness scale! I love the dimming options and the three stages of color you can pick as well. Remote is key as this has only a foot button to allow you to turn on and off, which would normally not be a problem except for I placed the base behind and somewhat under a couch. Overall, a GREAT arc lamp purchase, very pleased! And for those wondering about the shade and assembling it yourself? EASY PEASY! Took me less than a minute and it looks amazing! The whole lamp was put together in 5 minutes. JUST BUY IT! ... show more

I’m impressed by this ridiculously inexpensive lamp. It’s taller than most lamps which is exactly as i wanted. It’s weighted and stable and looks substantial. Super easy to assemble - one person under 15 minutes. And the remote with myriad settings is everything! I do hate that the power button is on the cord and operated by foot, but the remote makes that a moot point. Also, the shade is garbage cheap and given the height of the lamp, it needs a diffuser panel on the bottom. All in all: Highly recommend. ... show more
