I’m happy with the variety of colors in the pack. I wanted to try some different silk PLA colors and this was a good way to get a bunch of colors without spending too much. My prints have come out great so far. I’m sure I’ll be buying full rolls of some of the colors once I run out.

Used this spool to do 41 Medals for our Lacross club end of season bash for the team members. Biggest complaint I had was it adhered to the plate to well - I had to FIGHT to get the medals off and if I let it cool down it was even worse. I just wish I had the same issue with other prints. Printed really nice. Had a great sheen. Did not require me to make any special adjustment to temp or flow rate in my slicer, General PLA setting worked perfectly. I bought this to print the engines and command module for a Saturn V model. Printer is a RatRig VMinion, using 0.1 mm layer heights, STL files purchased from Fab365. Excellent results, the only change made from my normal PLA profile was to increase the flow muliplier by 2%. This seems to be pretty typical for silk filaments, Overture Gold Silk prints also needs the same 2% increase. Surface quality is excellent, about as good as you can expect from any FDM print. I've always regarded Sunlu as a second tier filament vendor based on a few standard PLA rolls I've tried, and am surprised at how good this is. I had not realized this was a Sunlu filament when I ordered it, but have no regrets and will order it again if I need a good silver silk filament. ... show more

I was having issue when I first started using this filament. Admittedly, I am rather new to 3d printing and only had experience with one brand of standard PLA; but I grabbed this for the colors my boys wanted for their lightsabers. My main issue I was running into was stringy filament running around during the print. I hadn't run into this before so it took a little research. I'm running a Voxelab Aquila X2 (basically an Ender 3 clone) and Cura as my slicer. I did use the Ender 3 v2 profiles for my printer that are built into Cura - however, the changes I ended up with should apply to any profile for a similar printer. After some trial an error, I am now getting perfect prints with this material - so I figured I would share my settings for any other newbs out there. Printing Temperature: 215 Build Plate Temperature: 70 Print Speed: 50 mm/s Wall speed: 25 mm/s ***Retraction Distance: 6.0 mm ***Retraction Speed: 25 mm/s Do this and you should be smooth sailing! ... show more

If you're running a Bambulabs anything, just set the material to Generic Silk PLA and forgetaboutit. As you can see from the pictures, the sheen and finish is great.
