  • Fit my vintage Holelite XL12 and worked fine
Model: 16" SG-S57 1 Pack
I bought this chain for my Vintage Homelite XL12 due to the price since I use my saw only occasionally. It fit my vintage, 1960s, Homelite XL12 that I got from by brother-in-law's father's estate when he died. It needed just about everything on the exterior so I rebuilt it 20 years ago. I cleaned out the filth and dirt. I put on a new clutch and chain. I adjusted the magneto and cleaned (but did not rebuild) the carb. I put on a new fuel line and filter and a new plug. I was told by a Homelite mechanic that this is the best chainsaw ever built (up to that time) and, after checking it out and showing me how to tune it, he said it would outlast all of us. Well, my brother-in-law died 5 years ago. The mechanic died a few years later and his wife died shortly thereafter. My sister-in-law died last year. Things are not looking good for me but the saw is still running strong and starts on the third pull every time. Not something I can say about myself. I am 85 and my only purpose in life is to keep this little "HOMEY" running well for as long as I can. I think of it as my longevity plan. I put this chain on the saw and it went on easily and was a perfect fit except for a little play in the bar groove. I think that's due to wear in the groove because the one I took off measured .050" with a micrometer just like the new one and was a little loose, too. I fueled it up and I took it out to do some trimming on some rangy roots and limbs on a Lilac bush at the church. It is scary sharp and cuts like crazy. I am very impressed with the chain and the way it worked. It was a little noisy but I think that's due to the play in the bar groove. But it ran smoothly and true and cut like a banshee. It ran cool and did not overheat. It did not feel like it wanted to kick back. When I was done, it seemed as sharp as it was when I started cutting. After the second use a week later, the chain was a little slack so I had to tighten the bar adjustment screw 1/3 of a turn when I was done. But it still cuts fine. I do recommend this chain - 100%. It's a good value for what you get. ... show more

  • Good quality and durability for the price
Model: 18" SG-S62 3 Pack
I’m pretty impressed with the chains. The quality and durability is comparable to more expensive brands I’ve used in the past (e.g Oregon ) they seem to stay sharp for a good amount of time and work like new again with a quick sharpen. Nice being able to get 3 for a good price incase of accidental damage from hitting something aside from wood ... show more

  • Good for the price
Model: 20" SG-L81 3 Pack
These are stihl copies and seem to work very well. They cut well and manage to stay sharp for many cuts. A stihl chain would cost 3 times as much. I would prefer a stihl chain but sometimes cost comes into play.

  • Great value for the money
Model: 16" SG-R55 3 Pack
I love these chains. They fit on my STIHL chainsaw. But best of all, is the fact that you can get three for the price of one Oregon or STIHL chain. On top of that they last just as long as the other two. This is an awesome budget saver for anybody who uses a chain saw.

  • Good replacement
Model: 8" SG-R34 3 Pack
I got these to have as spares for a pole chain saw. Fits on the bar, no problem. Has the directional indicator, easy fit. Comes pre lubed pretty well. Ate the branches quickly upon installation (about 6 to 8 inch diameter) and with continual bar and chain oil, I feel like it would last through multiple uses. I can get lazy about sharpening, so having 3 to a pack helps too. Can go back later and hit them with the file. Good deal ... show more
