I had purchased this iron in August of 2022 and it is now Jan 2025. I have used it moderately to heavily and it no longer gets very hot. It only gets luke warm. I believe the life on this iron is about 2.5 years. I'm off now to replace the iron with another one. Althought the price is right and It has been an inexpensive option for every day ironing, I did have to clean the plate often if using starch with an iron cleaning paste. I prefer a chrome plate that will be easier to clean rather than this one. ... show more
