I am so impressed with this set. I was worried about getting black dishes because of scratches, but we use them every night with dinner, and always need steak knives for our food, but the blade glides ride off of it. If it’s scratching it, you’d never know, and they clean so well. The bowls are nice and deep and the coffee mugs are the perfect size! They're the prefect weight. Easy to handle and look like they are going to wash up beautifully. I bought them for the color (black and white kitchen), style, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe. Only 1 blemish on a large plate. Looks like it happened when the black was being added. It isn't a normal scratch or gauge, just a 'defect' during production. The stoneware comes with this guarantee, so I'm going to call and see if i can get a replacement plate. Or if they have a suggestion on fixing it. I'm more somewhat concerned on how this will affect it going thru microwaving and the dishwasher. I'll do an edit as soon as I am able to talk with customer service at Stone Lain.
