I bought this unit a long while ago and finally got around to installing it after going down the "android stereo" rabbit hole. I wish I would have just installed it as soon as I got it because it's a great piece! I'm not using ALL of its features though, and probably never will. Currently just using front RCA outputs to feed my front stage and sub, and powering the rear speakers with the unit's little amp. I will eventually use its optical output once I delve into the world of DSPs. Sound quality is very good as-is, and I really like that's is a great cross between an aftermarket deck and an factory deck. Love the knobs, which most affordable big name decks have abandoned. The display is nice and big, like a factory radio, and I really like the way RDS info is displayed. Tuner has very good reception if that matters to you. My only nitpicks are no cover artwork when streaming bluetooth music from phone, but not an issue if you use Carplay/Android Auto instead. Installing the screen onto the main body always feels iffy too (perhaps I'm just too gentle :)). Other than that, it's feature-packed and has great performance all around. HIghly recommended, especially at its current price. Stinger did a great job with this unit. I installed it in my 2010 Toyota Tundra, fwiw. It replaced a Kenwood Excelon deck that was either defective or was having several intermittent problems caused by the Maestro interface I had used. Didn't investigate and ended up ditching the Maestro (not beneficial in my truck) and the Kenwood cuz I like knobs. ... show more

This stereo is good quality but dated. Many newer stereos and devices are coming out with all these features at better price points, and with that said one of the big drawbacks of this stereo in my opinion is the options it claims to have are actually paid add-ons. You have to buy a loaded SD card (150) to use the internal GPS. You have to buy a XM satellite tuner (60) to get the satellite radio to work and of course a subscription but thats expected. It says it retains steering wheel controls, this requires an external module (50) to make the connection. It does have carplay and Android auto but you have to plug into the stereo when many units these days ofer it wireless. It also arrived late. All in all its a nice unit well made, functions well and has good sound quality, but needs an update and better transparency of actual included features. ... show more

I bought this for use with CarPlay 99% of the time and 100% digital interconnection with a JL Audio Vxi DSP amplifier. Most of my music is lossless on my iPhone (ALAC CD rips) and makes it all of the way to the amp at original quality. The way the screen mounts made it easy to fit into my Honda S2000 with one minor/hidden trim to fit the screen cables. The built-in bluetooth microphone is OK. If you want flashy graphics on the Home Screen, this isn't it. If you want great audio quality + the ability to install into just about anything, this is perfect. ... show more

Not impressed at all. Not even close to the hype they talk it up to be I thought it was going to be a huge upgrade over my pioneer but in fact it’s nowhere even close music I was listening to doesn’t start immediately after I hang up call the sound is ok but again not the quality of my old unit if and bulky kinda awkward looking in my jeep if you ask me and no one told me I wou have to get another new interface the one I had on my pioneer would not work over priced and no upgrade what a shame ... show more
