    • Best Cheap Bench On The Market?
I've tried many of benches, some costing over $500, some as less than $70. I like what I like and this bench does it all almost perfectly. First, I like smaller, lower benches. I'm 6'1" and this bench fits fine. It's low - perfect for benching and helps make it more stable. Speaking of stable, this is a beast - no wobble at all, zero. I hate when benches do that, this doesn't at all. Next, is the weight capacity. I'm 230lb and bench about that. No chinzy 400lb bench will cut it. This has an 800lb weight capacity- way more than I'll reach. I also like wheels, but the wheels need to be under the bench, not protruding beyond the bench (it gets in the way of the cage). These wheels are perfect. Again, the ladder back adjustable benches are so much better than the other styles - simple and stable. The only 2 things I have issues with this bench are the gap between the seat and back pad is on the large side. I'm fine with it, I just stick a cut pool noodle in the gap and don't feel a thing. Second, it's Steelbody and their use of brown paint. Why brown of all colors? Just use all black or some other colors like red or blue. Next, this bench is better than the Power Block FID bench that costs more (it wobbles and it too thin for benching). It's better than almost all the Bowflex benches (higher weight capacity, more stable and smaller). I dare say this compares to the Rep adjustable bench that costs a lot more). Overall, I would highly recommend this bench to any lifter. It's a great product at a great price. FYI, I currently use it in my Rogue S-2 stand and Titan T-3 rack. No issues. ... show more

    • Very good adjustable bench, as long as you’re under 5’9”
I saw pretty mixed reviews on this bench, so I was a bit worried before buying it. Luckily my package arrived in perfect condition, so I knew it wasn’t abused during shipping. None of the parts were scratched or dented. And also nothing was rusted. All the hardware was included and the pieces fit together perfectly. One thing some people might not like is the gap between the back and butt support. The gap is only there when the bench is flat. When you incline the bench, the gap closes. But honestly it doesn’t even bother me when it’s flat. Im just a little over 5’8” and the back rest is just barely long enough. There’s about 1/2” of the back support above my head. So if you’re 5’9” or taller, your head won’t be supported very well, especially when the back is inclined. The bench seems very sturdy and luckily all the welds look good and strong. I’d definitely recommend this bench of anyone who’s 5’8” or under. ... show more

I saw this bench online last year, but it was unavailable at the time (due to the pandemic), so I put it in my shopping cart and waited, then finally it became available! I wanted this one because it looked so cool, and it was relatively inexpensive ($279) especially for such a hefty looking bench. It took me less than an hour to assemble, the instructions were very easy follow, all the parts were labeled. The seat padding and the frame are both nice & thick. Once it's assembled, it's very sturdy, especially for a non-commercial grade bench. I have'nt experienced any wobble or rattles, it easily holds me when I bench press (my weight: 235lbs + 230lbs on the bar) I'm very happy with it. Would definitely recommend. ... show more

Its great, the problem I have is that there is a very very very slight wobble in the seat and backrest triggering my ocd, no matter how hard I tighten anything it wont go fully stable. The backrest is also way too wide for what I needed making it hard to do wide curls while sitting. For the price point no other bench compares, I came from a $150 bench that was a total garbage heap compared to this nice one and its not much more expensive. I do feel very safe using the bench and it gets the job done, its built like a main battle tank. ... show more

    • Stable, Sturdy and Easy to Use!
I read several reviews and it seems that some people are way to uptight about minor things that can confuse someone like me that looks to the reviews to help me make a purchase. For instance, people are bothered by the gap between the seat and the back or the packaging it comes in or a minor hint of rust that has no effect on the operation or construction of the bench. Considering the cost of this bench, which I found reasonable, it is very well made. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband and assembled it our neighbor's house, by myself. I noticed while putting it together that all of the pieces were substantial and well made. Once I was done, my friend's husband, who also works out, checked it out and was quite impressed. I put a big red ribbon on it for my husband Christmas morning and it was a hit. The box it came in was damaged and torn but it did not affect the product - the pieces inside were wrapped in plastic and secured. The day it arrived was a heavy rain day so I can see how the cardboard box was compromised. Again, a minor thing but very pleased with the sturdiness, stability and ease of use of this bench! There is no wobbling from side to side and it has wheels which makes it easy to move around. Now that my husband has had a chance to use it, my review stands! He loves it and says it's a sturdy, well-made bench. He is 5'11" and 170lbs so in his words, he is not trying to bench super heavy, crazy weight. It does the job for him.
